Knowing that real fans would prefer to keep handing over their money to Gene Simmons than make do with a shoddy bootleg, KISS and Concert Live have announced that they'll be offering fans the chance to own a recording of their Download performance, right after they come offstage!
Said Concert Live managing director James Perkins, ""We are delighted to be working with the band who invented stadium rock to allow the KISS army the opportunity to own their show. Labels and artists are becoming less protective of their music, with the dawning realisation that this is how fans want to consume music. The formula has been proven, those in the industry can't afford to ignore it any more."
Those wanting to get their hands on a copy will need to place their order at the Concert Live stand at Download prior to KISS's headline performance on the Mainstage on Friday. There's no word of how much it will cost yet, although rumours of an on-site surgeon performing arm and leg amputations have yet to be denied.
