I saw Kill Hannah play Wrexham last night, they are playing download I believe. Definitely worth checking out! One of the best bands I have ever seen! Can't wait until the tour in September!

Not exactly my music taste...

I think I'll just buy Kerrang because I need somthing to read while I'm sunbathing.

The My Chemical Romance fans' stance against the Daily Mail looks good and I've always liked the Offspring and Feeder but I'll have to flip the page quickly when I see the name "Elliot Minor" spring up or it'll ruin my day.

I don't think I'll be adding to my poster wall either.

i missed the ones with HIM and gerard way/lyn-z related ones which bugged me.
but recently kerrang has been slightly boring. for me anyways

im probably going to buy this one.

Hey right i would just like to point out how SHIT the download line up is. I mean C'mon kiss offspring and lostprophets what type of sick game are you playing. Download is a METAL festival bands like disturbed bullet or my valentine and trivium should be headlining. those headlines should be backups secong stage they are not the headline type. Yeah lostprophets are good but headliners and this just gets me frustrated as you had bands like iron maiden and linkin park headlining last year. Also there isnt that many good bands this year you've got bullet disturbed madina are alright theres 36 crazy fists and fightstar oh and airbourne who arent on main stage o_0 okkk. anyway HIM are there there good also not main stage hmmm :\. but yeah this metal festival looks like a pile of heeping SHIT. oh well people who are going try and havea good time atleast my mate going vip will get me shirt signed by disturbed ;)

Please, I don't want any fans of Mindless Self Indulgence or My Chemical Romance to take this badly or as an insult.

I don’t want what I’m about to say to be dismissed just because I am a My Chemical Romance fan and supposedly were all either delighted or angry that Gerard married Lyn-z. Despite what most may think not all of us care about who they are married to or dating or even the fact that, no Gerard not every girl wants to see you put your hands down your pants. I know hes a performer and it gets a scream but what does it mean? They said themselves they kiss onstage to deter any intolerant ‘fans’ but who is he turning away when he says that he wants to hear people fuck them selves?

The truth is I wasn’t a fan of Mindless Self Indulgence before and I’m not now.
I think that everyone is kidding themselves if they honestly believe that Mindless Self Indulgences recent coverage and attention is just because they are a good band.

I think that it’s relevant to say that yes, people will have only just recently heard of them BECAUSE of the marriage and that they genuinely liked what they heard, and sadly some of their recent fans will only be listening to please. BUT for Lyn-z to do an interview for kerrang! saying how angry she is that all she’s known as now is Miss Gerard Way, and then the next week for your magazine to have a poster of SOLELY HER is PATHETIC!

I get that your going to sell more magazines, especially if you put a HUGE poster of Gerard in the very same issue, or even that you’re doing it to give the kiddies what they want. I also accept that to some, Lyn-z is a very inspirational person, and I do really like when you put posters in of JUST Gerard or JUST Ray because I do idolize ALL of them.

But I think what you have done over the last two weeks has spoken a thousand more words than ANY interview with her could.

They are the worst, sexist band I have ever come across.
Lyn-z might be a slightly good role model for girls. But I personaly think there are more feminin rock/metal legends out there that could do better for a girl to look up too. INSPERATIONAL female legends xD

I love Kerrang magazine. It is without doubt the best music magazine there is.
However iam dissappointed at the lack of Chiodos in the magazine.
I think in the last month or two there has only been one article.
They are without doubt my favourite band and i would love to see more Chiodos in Kerrang. I'll only love the magazine even more for it!

Bands don't save lives any more than a band's music can make you commit suicide. The kids making the "MCR saved my life!" claim are just as ridiculous than the people who say that MCR caused Hannah Bond to kill herself.

MCR's fanbase has become such a joke. These kids need a reality check.

Advertising gigs!

On page 35, in Kerrang! issue 1214, theres an advert for a gig of one of my favourite artist in the music business. Miyavi. As I live too far - and can't make the gig - Would it be possible for Kerrang! too cover the gig and right a report up from it, even if it's just a little review? Especially since he's in the Uk.
It would also be great for more international bands too be mentioned.

Nice one Sally, I was going to mention this too - I was delighted to see the advert!

Kerrang! should definitely do a live report on Miyavi's gig. I can't make it to the gig either but I'm very keen to hear how it goes down, it should be a real spectacle and blow the socks off anyone lucky enough to witness it.
Jrock gigs in the UK deserve heaps more encouragement because it's very hard for foreign acts to get exposure here. When it comes to music that isn't all in English our country is rather backwards and xenophobic overall, but this is especially true of UK venue owners and event promoters. They're automatically biased towards English-language acts because they assume that's where all the money is. They don't want to take a chance on foreign bands. I really hope this will change and that the music biz fat cats will wake up and realise what a big and supportive fanbase Jrock actually has. Hopefully Miyavi's gig will be a great demonstration and will pave the way for more Jrock exposure in the UK.

Come on Kerrang! Get in there... ;D
I've noticed you doing more little bits and pieces on Jrock lately and it is appreciated! You won't let us down, will you? ;]

It's unfair that he's only doing the one gig, don't they realise people live outside of London for main gigs?
- Especially when I live near Scotland.

Too be honest, I like forgien music better then the average English speaking ones.

I hope that MYV does encourage more gigs from JRockers; that'd be awesome.

It'd be even better if they did like.. a JRock tour.. With other bands headlining as well.

So yeah.. Please don't disappoint us Kerrang! There is more JRocker fans then I think you realise!

My Chemical Romance - please include on the mag! xx

i bought the recent editions of the magazine and i now have my chance to say what i think.... If i was told about the march, i would have been there, i stand by MCR 24/7 and i always will do. The Daily Mail is just PATHETIC and a total waste of paper! what shit it is to label MCR and other bands 'EMO' i mean just coz the music has emotion and people get attached and relate to the lyrics, the band and their fans are labelled as 'EMO' i say FUCK IT! i am a great follower and my life revolves around MCR, they keep me going every day, even in the darkest days, i am having trouble at the moment but, i listen to My Chemical Romance to cheer me up and to stay calm. The Daily Mail insulted me deeply when they labelled MCR a suicide cult emo band and that kinda really upset me!

Famous Last Words is one of the best MCR songs going and the lyrics are ' I Am Not Afraid To Keep On Living, I Am Not Afraid To Walk This World ALone'. this is certanly not suicidal emo, the lyrics mean to stay alive not to kill yourself!

I wish the Daily Mail would leave MCR alone and think of other pathetic stories to make up and annoy more people, instead of ruining somthing brilliant and that keeps teens alive.

I Think The Daily Mail should think of MCR'S fans & even Hannah Bond herself before publishing utter waste... Would Hannah Bond want her favourite band to be blamed for her death? i dont think so, so leave MCR alone and instead publish nice things about them like so many of us teens who worship them.

To MCR: Keep rocking our souls, congrats to your new DVD / Album The Black Parade Is Dead! i cant wait to purchase it! and hopefully i'll meet you all somday......

I think what gets me the most is the blatant ignorance of lyn-z to think that all these new fans and interview requests are because of her band or because people are interested in her as a person. i saw MSI live (as a support band) and, to be honest, they were absolutely crap. i dont know if their studio songs are any good, but by what we could hear on most songs every other word was a swear word. it was an MCR concert at the O2 in november. i am a big fan of them and as at the time i dont even think i knew he was married (didnt really care either) so my opinion of them then wouldnt hav been biast. MSI fans please please please dont be affended by this, but i really dont care for them, ok yes, some people do think Lyn-Z is inspirational, thats their opinion. and mine is: MSI are crap, at least as a support band, anyway

p.s i completely agree with the comment by Hannah wwaaayyyy earlier, and most of what my harlequin romance has said

The prophets articles just a filler really, they did record a new album but werent happy with it so they started again, they should finish recording it in September said by Ian at a prophets gig in Cardiff on the 10th June

However, why are people trying to take that away from those who genuinely feel they are alive today because of that band? Hey Kerrang! i just wanted to say a couple of things, get it off my chest and so on...

firstly i want to say i am SO proud of the MCR emo clan for going down to the daily mail and kicking ass! I am what people stereotype as a "old skool rocker" whether that is a real stereotype i do not know, but thats beside the point. the point is, we as a collective of a mass genre are finally doing something about the abuse we get over such tragedies. At the end of the day, i dont think bands wake up in the morning and say "today i will write a song and kill off as many fans as possible! muahaha"...they write their feelings, and this we can relate and appreciate the music. now i feel slight depressive due to listening to staind - outside, but i feel that way from experiences of my own, not imatating a song! i just wish the world would wake up and realise that there is an issue with the person, not the music.

which brings my 2nd point, what the hell is with these hip hop gangster assholes who feel it necessary to kick the crap out of 'goths' in numbers that totally outweigh any chance of fairness?! i read in the newspapers all the time and i see it where i live. when will we rise up and take back the 'musical' streets as it were? back in the days of mods vs rockers, it was a quick punchup then back to the party, not kill and get away with it...we as a massive society of rockers shouldnt tolerate such things. let us not forget OUR strength in numbers..

maybe we should just put "slipknot - people = shit" on in our cars with subwoofers on full blast!!!

why is everything about Mcr Thy're not that good, please change

Why the hell is everything about Mcr,
They're not that big,
I don't know how anybody likes them
I'm sick of hearing EVERYTHING about them
So please kerrang, Please Put back the metal
like Gojira, Opeth,
Children of bodom. Metallica. Hammerfall
and so on, Pantera!

my last kerrang

This was the last Kerrang I bought before I left Ireland. I am in Czech republic now and we dont have Kerrang magazine here.
Life in the middle of Europe sucks.
