Alas Download is over for another year. It's Monday afternoon and the K! staff have just got back to the Kerrang! office after a weekend of insane rock action!
Admittedly, we can't help but feel a little bit sad that we're no longer in the East Midlands hanging out in the sunshine with our favourite bands and meeting you lot, the lovely Kerrang! readers. However, we captured a lot of the backstage action at Download 2008 for your viewing pleasure.
Here are some of Sunday's highlights...

Really sad to hear Elliot Minor got bottled, i love them so much.
Met them 3 times too, really nice.
Kinda Kerrang's fault though...
Download used to be a metal/hardcore/rock festival, it's not really that anymore. Kerrang needs to find more bands. >.<
Ah well, i like the way download is now, I like Lostprophets too, and LOVE bullet for my valentine, should of been headlining.
There should really be a Download festival in Belfast, XD xxx

I was actually really surprised with eliot Minor.
I to be honest with you, went down there to bottle them becuase i wasn't bothered about seeing Coheed, i threw like 4 bottles when they came on along with a few other people.
But the majority of the crowd was actaually there fans so I felt a little of an outsider with them lol. But they only had like a few things thrown at them for like the first 5 minuets and apart from that it was basiaclly just a normall show for them i guess.

Bottleing is a way of festivals, madina |Lake got it (i wasn't there)
Lethal Bizzle got it and it was said since they were fuking anounced, Eliot Minor got it.
Pathetic emos like yourself need to grow up and realise,
Donnington is a place for Metal, its sacred grounds and Fans of the fest don't want pathetic little emo scene kids, making the place look untidy.
EMOS have festivals to go to aswell, like NORMALLY leeds/reading but obz not this year as it is dominated by metal.
The give it a name fest is bassically an emo bumb fest aswell.
Also notice this year was the first year in two years it aint sold out but festivals like reading/leeds and Wacken both sold out.
hmmm wonder why, maybe becuase of the metal.
Still I loved prophets set, the 2nd best band of the weekend, wish i never seen Eliot Minor, without a doubt the disapointment of the weekend, they were fucking shite they played the one song i liked.
BADLY.
So if i hear the word EBO next year at Donninton i'll look out for ya bigmna or are you a girl.

not a fan of Elliot Minor at all, and not the biggest fan of Bizzle but bottling is just the biggest waste of time ever, hardly ever means a band scheduled to come on after, comes on earlier/plays for longer.
So the future of Download is emo, well thats another good festival fucked then, face it all those weasels claiming its the new thig to takeover rock and metal are dreaming, emo is a part of that scene, it derives from it. Believe me people wearing makeup, dressed like women and looking sad is nothing new.
Roll on D2009 and lets see if this time we can address the metal/rock issue because clearly Lost Prophets and their merry gang of also rans are not fit to grace the hallowed stage, 3rd stage maybe but then thats pushing it still.
I await the sub standard response from the cry baby generation...

i can honestly say that this years download was the biggest dissapointment of my life, the site set up was rubbish 1 and a half mile to the arena from camping!!!most of the bands looked uninterested. thank the lord for the wildhearts and pendulum the only good bands of the festival. download rip
