Career mode includes becoming ledgends then shortly after selling out and making only half as decent music. You can make extra money to buy a 3rd Butler by Sueing Nafster a piracy agency.
Can't wait guys. This is the rock lifestyle simulation we've all been waiting for >_<

Not forgetting
Also after the first set of track lists you get to kick out the best guy in your band without warning and over shadow his career through the rest of the game even when he becomes better then you as you drift in mediocrecy in your middle age.

someone has a hard on for dave
i'll concede your point bout napster, but sayin dave mustaine was the best guy in metallica is pure toss, as for overshadoing him there is a good reason for that, THEY ARE BETTER THAN HIM YOU PLANK!!!!!, go through the metallica back catalogue, 'for whom the bell tolls' 'creepeing death' 'call of ktulu' the whole of 'master of puppets' and 'and justice for all' all of them classics that completley run over anything dave mustaine has wrote or will ever write, and for the record 'the four horsemen' is way better than 'mechanix' peace out biatch

I would give Metallica the edge up to 1988. But, if you want to compare 1989 onwards, Mustaine owns Metallica.

Ok ok fair enough maybe he's not the best. I just think being able to rise from the ashes and go and write some of the songs he's done took a HELL of a lot of talent. Hanger 18, Peace sells, Symphony of Destruction, and of course the gorgeous Trust. But yes granted Metallica albums (though containing less tracks) have more memorable tunes and more complex tunes. Though Horsmen is NOT better than Mechanix. Slowing down amazing guitar always sounds damn class but it just isn't as kick arse as the fast version.

Guitar Heros
Sweet! but One was on Guitar Hero 3, will that be on the Metallica version as well? I think this will be better than the Aerosmith one coming out this summer. Sounds great!
metallica are fucking shit, and not to mention sellouts. their drummer needs to be stabbed in the throat.

But think of the tidal wave of drool that will gush out of Lars throat, if one was to do that. It's suicide!

WTF!?
What in the name of fuck is wrong with you Andymark!?
Metallica are NOT shit! Yes I'll admit the last 3 albums or so WERE shit (St. Anger had like 2 or 3 decent songs though) but just because an album or albums are shit doesn't automatically make THE BAND shit!
Besides! Where would half the bloody metal scene be without Metallica eh?
Dude you reckon Outlive hasn't been outside in years. I reckon that's a bit hypocritical considering YOUR name pops up on just about every single post Kerrang makes like them or loathe them so perhaps YOU should get off your ass, turn off your PC and see the likes of daylight once in a while.
Oh and as for everyone else BOTH Metallica AND Megadeth are great bands, I'll admit Metallica or more in my favour but Dave has produced some pretty good technical thrash himself!

WTF!?
Joelio. You say the last three albums or so have been shit. How many years of shitness does that make?
It has been TWENTY YEARS since their last good album. They had 5 great years before that. Classic even, but the following 20 years of crap does make the band shit these days. And it does affect tjheir legacy.
And the metal scene would be fine if they hadn't existed. Thrash would still have happened - we just wouldn't have had any Xentrix albums. :p

WTF!?
Yes but if an album is shit you just don't listen to it do you? You listen to the stuff YOU like which surely you've still got to respect the band for making despite whatever may be happening at the time with them. And what about The Black Album? That was good and it came out in 1991! So it's actually been 17 years since the last decent Metallica album :P Do the maths ;)
The metal scene probably would have been a bit different without them though you have to admit, because Dave Mustaine might not have been in a band if it didn't exist, and so therefore he wouldn't have to have made 'an even better band' as such and thus he might not have even formed Megadeth! :P
And as for legacys, just look at Korn for example, they were responsible for the wave of nU metal (most of it shite with a few exceptions), and soem of their albums have been a bit 'meh' but they're still very well respected despite this.

Awesome. Anyone know is it the whole back catalogue going to be on there, or just like a "greatest hits" kind of thing?
