My Chemical Romance release their new live CD/DVD package, The Black Parade Is Dead, on Monday (June 30) and Kerrang! dot com have got an exclusive preview of the track Dead for your viewing pleasure!

The Black Parade Is Dead features highlights of the band's show at Mexico City's gargantuan indoor arena Palacio de los Deportes from October last year as well as eighteen tracks filmed live at intimate New Jersey club Maxwell's also from last October.

I watched them last March at Nottingham arena...It was a Black Parade show...they were amazing....but i have to say...i think they should have killed off the black parade sooner...I also watched them at downlaod 07....which was interesting lol
I might buy this....but as a die hard MCR fan...i want them to go back to the way they were on the first album (I brought you my bullets) =]

I agree. As much as I love MCR. Bring back the 'Three Cheers' and 'Bullets' way of rocking out. They've done the theatrical part now they can go back to what they did before.
I can't wait for the next album.

I love love love MCR like crazy! I was obsessed with them for bout 3 monthz! Theirs was the first live show i went to (except for this pop shit thing i went to when i was little. Christina Aguilera? Never again!) which was fucking amazing!

I listen to a wide range of music, ranging from Isahn, Iron Maiden, Feeder and all the way through to VNV Nation and Hocico. I find My Chemical Romance to be more style than substance, and having seen them live, I find them wanting in that area too.

I listen to a wide range of music too but I like you have seen bands before and totally not got them, I have seen Muse before and to me they seemed to be more about style than substance however that doesn't mean that they don't possess any substance, it's just that I don't personally understand them! MCR at Bournemouth BIC at November 2006 was the WORST gig i have ever been to. EVER! band was shit, support band was better, it was too hot and i dont know why i wasted my money, theyre not even that great live. thank fuck i've redeemed myself by going to see some decent bands who can actually put on a good show and play some good songs like MACHINE FUCKING HEAD!

Well that's pretty strange, because when I went to see them last November in Newcastle they were fantastic. Maybe it was just a bad show for them in Bournemouth. Every single band out there has at least a dozen bad shows in their career, so why slate MCR just because they had a bad show 2 years ago??

Can I just say, that if you dislike MCR, then that's fine, but it's a different matter if you feel the need to come on here and insult My Chemical Romance and their fans.
I have no issue with MCR haters, but it's the way you express that that counts. If you merely think to yourself 'I don't like My Chemical Romance' then that's fine, it's a personal opinion that doesn't harm anyone. This is what pisses me off. Emos aren't the first group of rock fans to be misunderstood. They're not the first people to be picked on for looking different. Get over yourselves. If you're really not afraid to keep on living, actually do it instead of complaining that the whole world is against you because they don't like a shitty little band that you do. If you can't handle people disagreeing with you, you're in for a really rough life.

Further to this, My Chemical Romance don't save lives. Realise that you, and you alone save your own life, and you and you alone are the one that takes it if you committ suicide. All MCR do is cash in on the victims.

I agree with a lot of what you said there, but allow me to explain my point of view. I'm a fan of MCR (and many other bands) and I do feel my quality of life has at least tripled since I got into them - but I'm not going to make "you suck and are a homo lol MCR saved my lyf" remarks, not at all.

You're right, "emos" or whatever you wanna call them are NOT the first group to be misunderstood. Not by a long-shot. So why do so many of these other 'misunderstood groups' still disrespect and make fun of "emos"? Metalheads and goths for example, who I'm sure get their own share of shit from some other people, should understand that a certain type of music and being with like-minded people can be important to someone...but they still don't approve of "emos". I for one would never say that metal, for example, sucks. On the contrary: I think some of it is probably the most skilfully done and unique music I know. It just doesn't have any kind of special meaning to me - I'm much more into a different kind of genre, and that should be fine by everyone else. It's just so tiresome to know that even people who have a similar relationship to their own kind of music will still look down on me (and all the people like me) for wearing an MCR T-shirt, for example. Even though I don't dye my hair black and look weepy all the time.

As for what you said about saving lives or committing suicide, you do have a point there. But you have to consider that a lot of the people who do end up killing themselves feel alone and see no point to their life. If some band can bring them to get out of their room and go to a show, a record store, or wherever, causing them to run into other people who have the same thoughts as them...is that not 'saving their life' in a sense? Myself, I was never in a state where I actually wanted to take my own life - I just felt like my life was really insignificant, and I had few friends because of some incidents in my past. After I got into MCR, and my few friends did as well, we suddenly had even more in common than before. Plus, when I started going to shows (and even messageboards) I met some more people who are now part of my daily life. For example, people living in the town I moved to when I went to college, etc. So as you see, I don't think the main reason MCR 'save lives' is that their music affects people (although I'm sure that it does, in some cases) but that the band brings like-minded people together.

I'm not saying it has to be MCR. It just happened to be the band that did 'it' for me and a lot of my friends. It can be any other band as well...and MCR & those other bands don't have to be completely exclusive. They are not a band that demand your full devotion, although some fans may think they are...

U Guys are so damn blind Mcr is original and can write there own lyrics instead of copying and using other songs there amazing in there own way it doesnt matter what we all listen too the thing is all "emo/goths/metal heads/ punk/ inde" its all differnet genres of rock mixed and changed over time its allot better than "Mc-in" chavz which is rapping in EPIC FAIL so no matter wht u listen 2 were all a big group of rock fans and u can blame them for all most anythinbg but really there isnt a point really " the black parade" is about someone dying from cancer hence the song "cancer" and everyone is just using this album 2 slate of all the Emo'z and suicide cults on mcr just because of ONE album. look at all the other band albums with dead or suicidal names in can u go and blame death and suicide on them? really can you? x

Bands don't save lives.

The very idea that a band can save your life is just as ridiculous as the notion that the kind of music you listen to can cause you to commit suicide.

The "MCR saved my life!" catchphrase has become an embarrassment not only to MCR fans everywhere, but to the band as well. One day in the not too distant future when VH1 or some other network does an "I Love the..." about this decade, comedians will have a field day with it.

You know...the whole 'war' or whatever you want to call it between 'Emo' and 'Metalhead' gets really boring after a while.

Many of you have made it clear you don't like MCR. Now we know, so you can go and carry on with your 'Hardcore' life. After all, the 'emos' are not worth the time right?

It is actually okay to listen to more then ONE genre of music you know?! I listen to alot of music. Those who claim that metal is the BEST genre and seem to think it is the only one, need to get out more.

Also, people who type like they skipped every grammar lesson in their life, for fuck sake learn to spell. It doesn't take alot to type properly.

Let's just face it...MCR inspire people, make people happy with their music, etc. Just like your favourite band does for you, so get over your self and actually go and post comment that are worth the reading because seeing 'MCR are Shit/Wank/cunts...' is pretty much what the messages read every time. Repetitive and annoying.

Yes, you do have your opinions but I think hearing it ONCE is more effective than hearing ten times more along the line.
