Count Grishnackh denied parole

Count Grishnackh (real name Varg Vikernes) - the erstwhile Burzum musician who is currently serving a 21-year jail sentence for murdering Mayhem guitarist Oystein 'Euronymous' Aarseth and setting fire to three churches in 1993 - has been denied parole by the Norwegian justice system for the second time.

Officials say that his escape from jail five years ago and ties with neo-Nazi groups have affected his chances of an early release.

"I haven't been in contact with them for a long time," Vikernes tells Norway's Aftenposten. "Police security services know this."

And judging by the last couple of Burzum albums, it's a pity Euronymous hadn't killed him instead - Mayhem wouldn't have turned to shit either.

I'm not saying I want him freed but i wouldn't mind a Burzum reunion when he eventually does get out. I never did see them live.

It wud be an experience.

When he gets out bring back Burzum but i am not getting my hopes up.

21 years is the maximum sentence allowed under Norwegian law. He can't legally be given a longer sentence.

Burzum.

Burzums' music is amazing, the idea behind the music is even better. For those arguing that he ONLY got 21 years, look at the english system, murderers only get about 7 years most of the time. He got off hard. And for the idiot who claimed he wanted to see Burzum live, burzum never played live, and never will.

How ridiculous Kerrang makesthemselves look when they try and cover extreme metal stories. Varg Vikernes has stopped using the name Count Grishnak for years, and Burzum has been officially stopped as a music project (and it was a non touring one man band anyway).

Vikernes was a bit of a tool, with the murdering and naziism and such, but he was ridiculously influential, so many one man BM bands have sprung up after him, and Filosofem is classic KVlt shit. Just look to the music, not the man

Well, varg IS bit of a bell end.

Although i like some of his music, i realise it's incredibly over rated.

And although he is racist, and is associated with naziism, i'm pretty sure he has commented on not being a nazi. And the whole "Nazi ghost" thing was a reflection of his feelings, in a strange sense.

But he has made many contradictory statements.

He wasnt the only church burner. I cant remember who else has been put away for it, but i dont think it's many.

Either way, as hellhammer put it to me, 'You know, he's a great guy with some fucked up ideas'.

Oh, and his attempted prison break was SO piss poor.

At the end of the day he's a murderer.
He stole a life. No more will Oystein's family get to see him or speak to him. No more can his friends see him and have fun with him. He's not in this world because of Varg.
Why should this guy be idolised for it?
Burning the churches as well - was there any need?
This guy should spend the rest of his life in jail after he took a life from his own will.
Put it this way if he killed a member of YOUR OWN family would u want him to be freed...I know i wouldn't.
