i agree with all of you. download this year sucks there are only a few bands going that i love like him, bullet for my valentine, children of bodom, disturbed and kill hanah. i think its a complete waste of money even buying a ticket. who the fuck wants to go see lostprophets and the offspring. for one they both suck. for two they have never realeased any good songs and for three they there songs dont have any meaning. i could have made the headliners for download a hell of a lot better than what it is now. kiss aint gonna be any good without ace freehley. he was the best out of them all.

BRING BACK PROPER BANDS TO DOWNLOAD LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN MY DAD USED TO GO THAT WAS PROPER MUSIC. !!!!!

first off, they label emo as a "self-harming cult" and then point the blame on My Chemical Romance... how old are teh people behind the tabloids!? and do they all wear burberry and tracksuits!?

now, i'm no emo, check me, my favourite bands are Rage Against The Machine, Avenged Sevenfold and Paramore (open minded i am).... also, i am not a My Chemical Romance fan, in fact, i hate them... BUT! i seem to recall a while ago when goth was labelled a cult and marilyn manson was taking the heat form the press...

i hate it when people need someone to blame and look straight at music, without looking into history of death threats from other school pupils, or whatever else

Right, let's get this straight, once and for all.

Metallica's greatest set was at Download 2006 when they did Master of Puppets in full. I highly doubt you'll see that at Leeds. Slipknot always do the festivals, nothing new there. And RATM...well, I'm not too fussed.

Cos Download has Kiss, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Judas Priest, Motorhead, High On Fire, Comeback Kid, Black Dahlia Murder, Stone Gods, Firewind, Black Tide, Testament, Saxon, Ace Frehley, Amon Amarth, Throwdown, Job For A Cowboy, Skindred, Cavalera Conspiracy, Children of Bodom, The Wildhearts, In Flames, August Burns Red, Between The Buried And Me, Airbourne, Apocalyptica, Rose Tattoo, Black Stone Cherry, Municipal Waste and Exit Ten.

All of whom will make this festival a hell of a lot better than the shoegazing lot that you've got at Leeds.

Grow the fuck up and stop bashing Download. Fair enough if you don't like it, but if I remember rightly the same people were praising Download for booking Madina Lake, Lostprophets, Elliot Minor, Pendulum et al a few weeks ago.

Where are they all now? Or is Download too spicy for you?

Yeah fair enough, the line up doesn't seem as sickk as previous years, but for fuck sake, go and have some fun man. There's gonna be some bands for everybody, Download is all about having fun with your mates and family, as well as enjoying a beer or two, meeting new people and listening to some decent live Music.

Gotta agree with a lot of you, for the amount the organisers are chargiing, Download just ain't up to it this year. There are a lot of good bands on there buit the headliners are so dissapointing. I'll be enjoying some Apfelwein in Deutschland whislt seeing all the good bands at Download PLUS Metallica, Rage and The Prodigy! AND my rock am ring ticket and flights cost less than a download wekkend ticket! UK festival goers get shafted big time.

Will the older bands still cut it?

I wonder if some of the older bands like Kiss, Judas Preist, Motorhead etc will still be able to rock people's world the way they could back in the '80s.

I think Bullet will be great along with Lostprophets, Apocolyptica, Within Temptation and HIM.

He's actually a proper talented lyricist, and I'm pretty much sure no one has a problem with Gallows right? Lethal B is down with the metal/punk/rock scene.
If you don't like him, don't waste your time going to see him, go and find something else at Donnington, there's so much to fucking do there, what's the point in

I can't make to Download because I live in Australia but if I did go the band which I would be excited to see would definetely be KILL HANNAH!!!

I just absolutely love this band and are totally obsessed with them. I feel like a cult follower .... I also would be excited to see Biffy Clyro, Rise Against and Alesana.
