Ex-Velvet Revolver / current Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland began his eight-day prison sentence yesterday lunchtime in Van Nuys, California.
The singer, who was arrested on November 21, 2007 for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, was sentenced to 192 hours (eight days) in county jail after pleading "no contest" in court on April 28.
It is unclear if Weiland will be able to make STP's first reunion show in Columbus, Ohio, on May 17. According to the band's website, they're still down to play on Saturday.
Maybe he's hoping for a Nicole Richie-style early release due to prison overcrowding?
