Yes and No, pendulum might do well in the charts, most dance things do. but puttin them on the downlaod bill is a big risk. but its all about giving them a chance. the might as well take it.

the burning question

i think the download fest is more for the metal genre not dance bands like pendulum, dont get me wrong though i do like pendulum i just dont think they will fit the audience very well

Pendulum deserve to be at Download about as much as i deserve to be in your mag - A lot. Theres not really anyone else out there like either of us :D

To be honest they have created somthing new, a blend of rock and dance which is not just samples but proper instruments and as they are somthing fresh the definatly deserve their place on the Download bill.

there are loads of bands that play slots at festivals who havent done much.
or if it's a case of the genre, its definitely crossover enough. enter shikari similarly. why are people so stupid and elitest when it comes to music.
i'm glad jay z is h/l glastonbury. hahaha. sucks for all those old indie schmindie boring noel gallagher wannabes :D
go moan to people who care. ie yourselves.

After what I saw last night in Nottingham, I'd say Pendulum deserve everything they get. They were incredible last night. They're gonna be amazing at Download too. Metalheads love them, so Download is perfect right?

no. They aren't rock, at all. They are Drum'n'Bass and do everyone a favour and stop fucking covering them.

Seriosuly K!, sort yourselves out and stop going on about every band that comes out of our scene kids' stereos. Just becuase some myspace addicts like "Slam" doesn't mean they're the next big metal band.

My god, is everyone fucking stupid or something.
