Losing passports is NOT what we aim for

Cute Is What We Aim For were nearly forced to postpone their current UK tour due to frontman Shaant Hacikyan losing his passport.

"I recently moved out of my dad's house and into my own flat," says the hapless singer on the band's website. "During this move I managed to lose my passport."

Thankfully the band's bassist Dave Mellilo has stepped in to fulfil vocal duties until Hacikyan arrives in the UK tomorrow.

"I don't think you realize how much I wish I could be there but I will be soon enough," continues the singer. "I fly our Tuesday and arrive Wednesday. But something tells me this is all for a reason. I've never been so excited to board a 10 hour flight in my entire life! I'm sorry about this situation but I'm spending that energy just being excited for how great its going to be very soon."

they wre shockin at leeds. was such a let down, i no people make mistakes but was such a let down and then we werent even told about it til half way thru the set.

at east you go your show though! you would have found it so much more annoying if they had cancelled and we all make mistakes so dont get mad at him.

it would have been alot better if they had post poned, and camee back with shaant at somepoint.
saves us lot wasting our money on half a band. and travel for the ones who didnt know! like me :| got there and was such a let down! waste of moneyy.

cos its not the same at all, its not ciwwaf without his voice!
and the other guy was so bad.

not mad at them tho, just would have been better to postpone it so we could have still used our tickets and whatever.

i was at slam dunk and was really looking forward to seeing them, shame it was quite dissapointing but i know people make mistakes and its good that they carried on regardless. i still wanna see them properly sometime :D

Oh no, what a shame, no vocalist oh dear oh dear. Why has Kerrang gone damn emo, whatever happened to the good old fashioned Kerrang, The FulL Metal Racket and The Meltdown, best damn shows. Shame, bowed into commercial pressure :'(

I saw them on monday in Manchester and I gotta say I think Dave did a good job considering he had to step in at the last minute. Of course there were some stupid girls annoying the hell outta everyone by keep shouting for Shaant, if they're only there because they fancy the lead singer then they're not real fans and need to feck off :)

Okay, so Shaant wasn't there, But I saw these guys on tuesday and they were still really awesome and I met Dave after, he's the nicest, smiliest guy ever. :D ♥

slam dunk

I know everyone makes mistakes but really??

If i hadnt been at slam dunk that day i think i would have found this hilarious, makes them all seem more "real".

But it was handled really badly at slam dunk, no-one really knew what was going on and some very inconsiderate people stloe the runing orders from the wall so not many people knew that CIWWAFs time had been moved.

The band wasnt the same without him but im glad they till played :)
Theres no way i couldve made it back to leeds if theyd have cancelled...

That aside slam dunk was AWSOME!!
