"It's offensive that I am now just 'Mrs Gerard Way'"

In tomorrow's Kerrang! magazine Mindless Self Indulgence bassist Lyn-Z gives her frankest interview ever!

As the bassist for Mindless Self Indulgence, she's avoided being in the spotlight, but since she married someone who is a regular in the pages of Kerrang! magazine, it's a different story.

She now finds herself the topic of discussions on messageboards - envied, admired and hated purely because of the ring on the fourth finger on her left hand. But all she wants to do is show the world that women can rock as hard, if not harder, then men.

Here's an extract...

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE ATTENTION YOU'RE RECEIVING AS A RESULT OF YOUR MARRIAGE?
"It's infuriating! One of the biggest reasons that I do what I do, is for other women and for other girls, then suddenly, when I got married, that was taken away from me. I'm suddenly 'wife of blah blah blah'."

YOU MUST HAVE EXPECTED IT, THOUGH?
"It's shocking that it still exists! I think it sends such a bad message to girls because it wipes out all the hard work that I did. He [Way] doesn't want that for me either. The questions are never-ending and it's disgusting."

WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT IT?
"It's fucked up and totally offensive that my name has totally disappeared and I am now referred to as 'Mrs Gerard Way'. It's fucked up that little kids want to come to my show to see Gerard standing at the side of the stage. And I don't want to have anything to do with it. But I get a lot of positive reactions, too - people saying that I have inspired them and that feels good. If that stuff wasn't in place, I'd probably throw it all away."

SO WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?
"Every night I sweat, I hurt myself and I don't stop until the job is done because I want every little girl in the audience to walk away thinking that it's possible - that they can do this."

For the full interview, be sure to pick up a copy of tomorrow's Kerrang! magazine.

emo killer? what the hell ? you must be so narrow-minded if you think someone shouldnt marry a person just because they dont want to be known as Mrs so and so. and as for the comment what did you expect, its obvious that she did expect this, she just doesnt want her work to be forgotten because she still wants to be known as a person loved their job and was individual. So fuck you.

Lol - Yeh yeh I know!

That's the problem with all you emo tards, completely devoid of any humor what so ever.

Emo's are probably the only genre within rock that gets so mercilessly ripped apart. Why is that do you think?

Does this mean MCR's new single will be a cover of Swing Low, Sweet Hannah Bond?

Lyn-z Way

YAY first Comment!! Lyn-z's words are true! I'm not much a fan of MSI (but I love MCR).
There are a few girls I know who have been to an MSI concert just to see Gerard (But were disappointed when they figured that he weren't there, U.S.A MCR tour). Lyn-z does seem really nice and I'm glad that there are woman who actually work in this world to get where they want to be!!

She should have prepared herself for the publicity! Everyone knew it would happen if gee got married. Look how much attention Eliza Cuts got just for being his gf!

But i agree with her girl power....girls sooo can rock!
MSI ARE AMAZING LIVE keep it up =)

But she's pretty Awesome (Y)

She's obviously a strong feminist, like myself.

Good for Lyn-z! Personally I don't really like MSI that much (huge MCR fan), but even so I think is stupid for people to call her 'Mrs. Gerard Way.' Its hurtful and means people only really go to shows because of her marriage to Gerard.
I just hope all this negativity doesn't end in a divorce!
