From First To Last and Saxon join Download bill!

From First To Last, The Fall Of Troy, Beat Union, Stone Gods, Saxon and Between The Buried And Me are among artists that have been added to the ever-increasing Download 2008 festival bill this week.

"We are beyond excited to get to play at Download this year and share the stage with some of our favourite bands," says From First To Last frontman Matt Good. "We can't wait to see all our new and old friends!"

"I'm chomping at the bit to finally play Download," adds The Fall Of Troy's drummer Andrew Forsman. "I've heard so many great things about the festival. I'm also looking forward to drinking a few beers!"

Also playing will be Finger Eleven, Big Linda, The Haze, Galvatrons, Last Supper, Blackhole, Rolo Tomassi, Malefice, Fighting With Wire, Mexicolas, Caimbo, Glamour Of The Kill, Cry for Silence, Sons Of Albion and Army Of Freshmen.

In related news, the festival organisers have announced that this year's site will be at a slightly different location from previous Download events. Kerrang! can reveal that this year the Second Stage (sponsored by Tuborg) will be open air, increasing the capacity in order for more fans to enjoy bands like Simple Plan, HIM and Cavalera Conspiracy. There will also now be direct and quicker access to all three stages, all car parking will now be within the Donington Park site, and the new position of the Main Stage - within a natural amphitheatre with surrounding trees - should make the experience of seeing Judas Priest, Kiss, Lostprophets and more... even more epic!

The Kerrang!-sponsored Download festival will be headlined by: Kiss, The Offspring and Lostprophets.

The full list of other bands on the bill so far is as follows:

36 Crazy Fists, A Day To Remember, Ace Frehley, Airbourne, Alesana, Alter Bridge, Amon Amarth, Animal Alpha, Apocalyptica, Army Of Freshmen, Ash, August Burns Red, Beat Union, Between The Buried And Me, Biffy Clyro, Big Linda, Black Stone Cherry, Black Tide, Blackhole, Bleeding Through, Brigade, Bullet For My Valentine, Caimbo, Canterbury, Cavalera Conspiracy, Children Of Bodom, Chiodos, Coheed & Cambria, Comeback Kid, Cry for Silence, Disturbed, Elliot Minor, Exit Ten, Fighting With Wire, Fightstar, Finger Eleven, From First To Last, Galvatrons, Glamour Of The Kill, Haunts, HIM, Hostile, In Flames, Incubus, Invasion, Jimmy Eat World, Job For A Cowboy, Jonathan Davis (Korn), Judas Priest, Kid Rock, Kids In Glass Houses, Kill Hannah, Last Supper, Madina Lake, Malefice, Mexicolas, Motorhead, Municipal Waste, Pendulum, Rise Against, Rival Schools, Rolo Tomassi, Rose Tattoo, Saxon, Seether, Simple Plan, Slaves To Gravity, Sons Of Albion, Stone Gods, Testament, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Devil Wears Prada, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Fall Of Troy, The Haze, The Subways, The Wildhearts, Throwdown, Trigger The Bloodshed, Twin Method, Valient Thorr, Within Temptation and Zebrahead.

Woah

From First to Last....
They were the last band I was expecting to see this year.
The line up keeps getting better this year. But it's a shame there isn't as many metal bands as previous years.

It's great that they'll be playing, it'll make them more confident as a band after everything with Sonny.

again another massive blow

well done live nation another blow into the lungs of the download fest

when you look at that long list of bands most of them struggle to sell out a barfly

i aint complaining like a like a lot of bands on there

but its £140 man to see bands you would spend bowt a fiver to see headlining.

theres only a few main bands like the rest are utter shit n some of them i just aint heard of

you know you might as well chuck a nuclear bomb in and end the download festivals life now instead of making it suffer some more years

donninton should make a new metal fest and start again but like i say in abiut 6 years that will crumble just like download has done.

Considering download is only 38 days away the rest of the bands that will be announced will not be big name bands.

If there is a big name band then it will have to be a major coup to do so.

As for paying £140 for a bands that will only cost a fiver to see otherwise.........you'd have to be a moronic tool to pay that money just to see the one band.

the £140 is for the whole weekend, the 50+ bands that are playing .

I bought my ticket when the origional 4 were announced and if I had the money I'd have bought it before then..........cause Download is an experience, and even if the bands weren't great you could still have fun.

I've not heard of any of these bands ^^^ but I'm looking forward to hearing what their like.

I'd like Rage too, but Peavey and company probably have better things to do.

I've heard of From First To Last [and they're diabolical by the way] but From Fist to Last?

Sounds like a night out with most of Kerrang!s front pagers!

Come on people!

Saxon and Between The Buried And Me! Two completely different, but equally great bands.

Couldn't care less about the others but so what! This festival gets better and better in my opinion.

Just need High On Fire, Ministry and Meshuggah now - unlikely I know, but we can hope!
