Following an on stage rant in Glasgow on March 20, Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weliand threw the future of the rock super group into doubt.
While the band are as yet to make an official statement as to whether Weliand has left the LA-based rockers or not, Kerrang! can exclusively revel that guitarist Slash has tapped-up former Take That singer Robbie Williams to be Weliand's replacement.
Slash (real name Saul Hudson), who is originally from Stoke-On-Trent, met the fellow Potteries-born musician at a Port Vale football match over the weekend.
According to sources close to the band, the pair were "in deep discussions about a future musical project."
Sooo how many of these are you going to do? Haha. xD
Makes amusing reading but ya know... Lol.
Although, i heard abput the Velvet Revolver gig. I wish i'd got a ticket for the Glasgow date. It might be the last chance to see them. :|

Wtf.
Oh..LOL. Well i guess, Williams has been looking a bit scabby lately but to be in talks for VR? Yeah..that's a bit far-fetched. Stop bullshitting us, Kerrang, you'll frighten the scene kids.

LOL. I hope it's an April fools joke, 'cause that would take the piss. Lets be honest.
thats a rather extraordinary surprise to me
how can they actually consider that?!
you would think they would bring someone who has more experience in a more rock/metal based industry.
Instead of someone with the knowledge of getting number 1 huts on top of the pops and being a teen hero back in his day of take that?!

Holy Sh*t!!!
ROBBIE WILLIAMS?!!! More like Robbie wannabe. I think I might have to DIE if I hear RW singing Slither! My mum will be pleased however.
Why can't they be a no vocals band?! I know Scott is a damn good singer, and it'll be a loss if this news is true, but but serously, we don't need to be punished by listening to a complete rock wannabe!
Sprry, but this is something that's REALLY wound me up.

That'd have been so much more convincing if you'd spelt Weiland right.

R.W for V.R
I think its a great idea....cause Scott W cant fucking sing live....and Robbie Williams can actually sing...he is a big rock act live... hes got the bad ass tats and got a gritty voice....
Personally is just like another Charlie Simpson pop to Rock thing...i mean didnt the singer from S Club 7 join a metal band then join American Headcharge on Guitar....???
so lets embrace it and be glad that we got another legend to the Rock world...!!
i think he would make a brilliant frontman for that band. he suits the style of songs and its a bit small minded to rule him out just because of his pop past
