Gallows, Alkaline Trio, Cancer Bats, Less Than Jake and Thrice are among artists confirmed for this year's Lock-Up Stage at the Reading and Leeds Festival, which takes places on August 22-24.
With a history of inciting some of the largest pits of the weekend - the Lock-Up Stage is always a festival highlight.
"We played last year and it felt like the pinnacle of our career - playing Reading and playing a stage with so many good bands," Gallows guitarist Laurent Barnard tells K!. "To be asked back again to headline is amazing! I remember that last year there was a sound limit on the stage - but the crowd was louder than we were! It was the best feeling ever and was one of those moments where you realise that all the hassle of touring and stress is worth it!"
Other bands set to perform on the Lock-Up stage include Pennywise, Goldfinger, The Unseen, Flogging Molly, MxPx, Set Your Goals, King Blues, Fucked Up, The Gaslight Anthem and Random Hand. Other bands set to appear at the Reading and Leeds Festival include Alexisonfire and The Automatic - who join Metallica, Slipknot, Rage Against The Machine and Biffy Clyro.

Festivals
Download is so shite this year , i mean Lostprophets , B4MV , and Pendulam all rule , but most the other acts i wouldn't walk to the end of my garden to see , then again Cris Cornell puled out , which is a shame.
But Reading/Leeds this year is amazin , i mean RATM , Slipknot , Gallows , B4MV , Biffy , and The Wombast all funking rule !!!!!!
And whats all the fuss about Jay-Z at Glasto , i mean its not Kasabian , but still , he's an amazing artiste and should be given a chance to show how real "Hip Hop" looks like , i reckon he's gona prove alot of people wrong , if they don't bottle him like 50 got bottled at Readng , that was hilarious

Oh - wow. The Gallows headlining the Lock-Up stage...what a load of fucking shit. This just reaks of 'music for the masses'. 'The saviours of UK punk'?!?! What a fucking joke, a ginger chav with a few shitty tatt's is not punk. The Gallows are utter shite.
ok so your not a fan of Gallows, i hope you;ve actually listened to their music because all you seem to have judged them on is what Frank looks like.
Who cares what people look/dress like? the unfortunate truth is too many people. I'm sure Frank could have grown his hair, dyed it and make a nice little fringe and maybe they'd be 100x more popular than what they are now...but no, he isnt gonna change the way he looks just because some people don't like it and still choose to judge people by what they look like!
I wanted to go to this so badly! But it was all sold out so instead I'm running off to Download, but the bands at Reading kick Donningtons ass this year!
Really REALLY wanted to see A7X but at least BFMV are at Download along with Pendulum and Lost Prophets.
Reading is going to be fucking amazing!

Dave - I have listened to the Gallows, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I think it just sounds like a poor version of the Refused, albeit a bit more modern.
I'm just sick of there being so many better bands out there, yet as soon as Kerrang get their nails into a certain band, they're on the cover, on the radio, on the tv - even if they're not great, and all 'the kids' think they're the most amazing band ever, until the next one comes along.
