Municipal Waste and Testament for Download!

Municipal Waste, Testament, Brigade, Chiodos, Comeback Kid, Valient Thorr, Animal Alpha, August Burns Red, Exit Ten, Hostile, Trigger The Bloodshed and Rose Tattoo have confirmed their appearance at the three-day, K!-sponsored festival.

"We'll bring the crossover speed attack to the masses at Download!" says Municipal Waste guitarist Ryan. "We assure you that there will be ripped faces of unsuspecting headbangers left in our dust as we exit the stage. As a true fan of heavy metal myself, I will sacrifice my own face by melting it down onstage during the almighty Judas Priest!"

"Download has become the ultimate rock and metal festival," adds Brigade frontman Will Simpson. "Every band wants to play, so it's an awesome opportunity to make some new fans and destroy people's preconceptions. Plus I can't wait to check out some of my favourite bands like Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eat World and of course, Fightstar!"

"We haven't been overseas that much but we're looking forward to play for thousands of people that have no clue who we even are!" says Chiodos keyboardist Brad Bell. "It shall rock!"

The Kerrang!-sponsored Download festival will be headlined by: Kiss, The Offspring and Lostprophets.

The full list of other bands on the bill so far is as follows:

36 Crazy Fists, A Day To Remember, Ace Frehley, Airbourne, Alesana, Alter Bridge, Animal Alpha, Apocalyptica, Ash, August Burns Red, Biffy Clyro, Black Stone Cherry, Bleeding Through, Brigade, Bullet For My Valentine, Cavalera Conspiracy, Children Of Bodom, Chiodos, Coheed & Cambria, Comeback Kid, Disturbed, Elliot Minor, Exit Ten, Fightstar, HIM, Hostile, In Flames, Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Job For A Cowboy, Jonathan Davis (Korn), Judas Priest, Kid Rock, Madina Lake, Motorhead, Municipal Waste, Pendulum, Rise Against, Rose Tattoo, Seether, Simple Plan, Testament, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Devil Wears Prada, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Subways, Throwdown, Trigger The Bloodshed, Valient Thorr and Within Temptation.

Municipal Waste and Testament... That ain't fucking bad if you ask me. Download is pointless going this year, these 2 bands, Seether and Jonathan Davis are the only reason I would actually go. Apart from that... Fuck it. Reading and Leeds are much better festivals this year.

brigade

are an amazing band, just because they're not metal and the lead singer is Charlie from fightstars brother doesnt mean they should be singled out for no reason, especially putting them alongside simple plan who are just awful!

Brigade aren't an overnight sucess, in fact theyve had very little sucess in the 5-6 years theyve been together so dont slate them just yet :P

why you all complaining

For one all these bands just anounced are just a load that will be playing the 3rd stage (the really small stage)

soo it dosn't affect anything

they have to have fairly small unknown bands playing that stage

like they do every year

it has only put 2 bands on the 2nd stage and they will probs be the ones opening the 2nd stage

the rest have been piled into the 3rd stage to fill them days on that stage

nothing bad

still like 5 or 6 bands to be anounced on 2nd n main stage for each day so no worries

for a 3rd stage they have put some gd bands on it so i aint all that bothered

you know alf of you people probs arn't going anyway so why complain
but for the people who are its not a big deal really

xx

Chiodos = <3
Municipal Waste suck, though... although that's just my opinion. =] Ah well, it's supposedly a ' true metal' festival, so whatever.
And they've still got loads more bands to announce, so stop complaining that your favourites haven't been announced yet.

No comment on the announcements....

...Just why are Throwdown now above Cavalera conspiracy and bodom??? I'd have it in reverse... bodom should be headlining that stage without a doubt at least!! thats bs!!
