I've heard of all three of them, and they are awesome. I listen to Korpiklaani alot. Just because you never heard of them doesn't mean no one has. Maybe at some point you should look them up and you might find they you actually like their music.

Anyone, anywhere unless they can't speak at all, can pronounce them, all you have to do is open your mouth and speak.

Another thing that made me laugh is how some kept complaining about Kerrang not including this band or including this one and so on and so forth. Solution for these problems? Don't buy the magazine and go get another that suits your every wants and needs. Or go and create your own.

And yes I have to say it: HIM! Oh, I have to go get this issue since Kerrang is hard to get and find in L.a. YAY!

Elliot Minor

I'm not gonna shoot my mouth off to those who have criticised Elliot Minor, because that would make me seem like a right whiney arse, but I would like to say a couple of things:

One) Elliot Minor - just because they supported McFly - are not teeny-boppers, Busted with Violins, whatever you can think of to incinuate they are pure pop. There is nothing wrong with supporting an established (even if not in the rock community) band in order to raise profile.

Two) Elliot Minor are actually musically able and adept, and all of them are classically trained to a certain degree. I know you'll have read that everywhere but it really does make a difference.

Three) Even Kerrang! (who have been a hard judge on them in the past) have admitted there is more to them than the singles they have released. Seriously get hold of the album and give a few of the other songs a listen. You might not fall in love with them but I can guarantee you will at least respect them.

Four) Have you seen them live? (responses of "No coz they're crap" do not count). Maybe you should. If you don't want to hang about with the so called "emo teeny-boppers" (which isn't true by the way) then stay at the back; but my point is their live show is 10 times better than their impressive studio tracks. Every show is unique, they're great with the fans, and they are actually great live - definately the best live act I've seen.

I hope anyone who doesn't like elliot minor will not straight off rip me for posting this, but they really aren't as bad as you make out you know. Besides, at least now you know at least one of us Elliot Minor fans can type a sentence, eh?

I'm terribly sorry K!, but I simply must say that Ville Valo gets WAY too much attention in your mag. If I looked over all of the K! Mags I've bought, I'd find about five with a giant picture of Ville Valos' head on the front cover. It's a scary sight. And as for Elliot Minor, no, they're NOT the best band in the world, and no, they did NOT deserve to be No.5 in the 100 Best Bands Ever. It's disgraceful to know that they were. BUT, I'm not denying that people bash on them far too much, and you can be just a tad bit too mean to them sometimes, K!. Try and play a little nicer, yeah?

to be honest, all these people that are mouthing off that the magazine have bands like Elliot Minor and HIM (my fave band) dont really get the theme of the magazine. it aint all just about the heavier stuff, it also caters for the softer more pop-ier rock aswell. thats why its called a "rock" magazine, and not a "heavy rock" "metal" etc. sorta mag.
and saying that some bands are shit can be quite insulting, and if youve got nothing to say dont say it at all! god!

oh by the way, i think the cover story with HIM was actually quite brilliant. how has he not got a girlfriend. obviously he's got loadsa girls falling at his feet, cos he's gorgeous! is he just picky or something?

I think this issue was rather spectacular. I am not going to criticise any band I do not like within the issue because I'm not a fucktard like some of the other people who have commented.

I happy to say K! you have more than one metal band feature, but it's a little limited, yeh the phil anselmo pages are good, but the metallica section is limited metal hammer had 4 pages on metallica talking about the killer solos that are gonna be in the new album and you seem to have the same poster in there all the time, its either enter shikari, msi, elliot minor and madina lake. do you know how many times ive had to bin those madina twins?

Once Tarja left they should have not tried to continue Nightwish it's just not the same anymore. Nightwish always had that Metal/Opera feel to me, and now with their new singer they lost it. The best thing would have been for them to start a new band instead of trying to carry on the Nightwish name. Personally Nightwish IS NOT Nightwish without Tarja.

Also the current issue I have not picked up yet and probably won't, because I loath slipknot, I don't care who likes them, I just don't. MSI they are prettycool, some catchy songs, And I adore HIM, mostly their older albums, not to into the latest one >.< all said and done whats featured in the magazine isn't enough for me to want to spend like 3-5 bucks for this magazine this month.

If you dont like the new singer, go to Tarjas solo band then obviously! I love Tarja and Annette and Nightwish are obviously happyer without Tarja in it. They lost alot of fans but made loads more as well

I've never been a Kerrang reader, but to be honest, this would be such a better magazine if it didn't feature all those fashion shitty pseudo punk bands like simple plan, fall out boy, blink 182, paramore, etc...
When they stop doing that, the magazine will have much more quality, and then I will read it. :)

Kerrang!.....

I'm glad that HIM are in Kerrang! for once. Despite what all the narrow-minded Slipknot fans are saying they are actually a very under-rated band. I think the article on Ville Valo was a bit naff but at least they were in Kerrang!. They are an extremely talented band, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a 'stupid little fan girl'. I love them for their music. And guess what people!? I don't actually think Ville is majorly good looking...he's alright I guess. I love them for their music, and I think there should be more HIM in Kerrang! in the future. I take it none of you metal heads have actually listened to HIM's other stuff?? You're probably judging them from The Kiss Of Dawn and Wings Of A Butterfly...which is a big mistake. Seriously guys...if you've got nothing nice to say about a band I just wouldn't say anything at all because it causes pointless, immature internet arguing with people you don't even know. So I'm thanking you Kerrang!, for giving HIM some coverage instead of really popular and mainstream bands. HIM are a great and passionate band and I hope there will be more of them in the mag! ;)

Ville Valo Kerrang! Issue...

For god's sake!!! This is starting to REALLY piss me off!!! For the record...HIM are a BAND!!! Not just Ville on his own!!! Seriously Kerrang!, you've just turned into a gossip mag over the years!! Who gives a fuck about Ville Valo's shitty love life??? Apart from teenies who don't even know the other band members names!! Real HIM fans want to see articles about the WHOLE band...not just Ville Valo's 'quest for love'. Really guys...who cares??? It makes HIM look sleezy and over-rated. There are a countless number of issues with just Ville on the front or a 'Ville Valo article' inside the mag. Its usually always either to do with his love life or whats the best sex he's ever had! Jeeze, Kerrang! write about many bands for a REASON, if you don't like a band in there, IGNORE IT, don't go boosting on the internet about how shit the other bands are, it just kinda shows you have little to know life?
Don't rip posters out of magazines, that's called stealing and isn't fair on the other fans who aren't so closed minded about music.
I love Mindless Self Indulgence, they're unique and lovely people who make amazing thrashing music.
I love slipknot, although highly over rated (they are, I don't care how many 13 year olds try and deny it), they are excellent to listen to when in the mood to punch someone.
I love H.I.M, YES, THE WHOLE BAND, NOT JUST VILLE VALO, they are romantic and relaxing, even in Venus doom.
I even like Elliot Minor, I EVEN LIKE MCFLY, OH DEAR GOD!

Get over it, everyone likes different bands, just because you don't doesn't mean you have to RIDICULE everyone else for liking other bands as well, I can understand if you wish to express your opinion, but it should go no further than "I don't like that band, I hate them." then FINISH, no one wants to read/hear or ever experience someone whining on and on and on about how they don't like a band and completely disregarding someone else's feelings on the matter.

And believe it or not, everyone has a song that *GASP* isn't in the Rock/Metal genre , that they like or can listen to at most.

Your blood doesn't run black, there is more to music than what you like alone, other people like what they like. Get over it.
