Iron Maiden to release tour movie!

Iron Maiden have been working alongside producer/sound engineer Kevin Shirley, as they prepare for an upcoming tour documentary.

The band, who have been on their Somewhere Back In Time tour, have collected together hours of footage for the upcoming edit.

Shirley issued the following update:

"Been in the studio all week, mixing Iron Maiden tracks for a new movie which was just shot of them on their very recent Somewhere Back In Time tour - where they circled the globe in their custom Boeing 757 Kombi, playing everywhere along the way! Must be nice......."

The movie will be directed by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn, who were responsible for the awesome Metal: Headbanger's Journey.

is it just me or do iron maiden seem to be in competition if you like with metallica? some kind of monster ,then maiden make a film .wembley then maiden play twickenham etc etc.I think brucie has a real problem with metallica. why?these two are both great bands but have nothing at all in common.maiden are what i would describe as old school heavy metal along with bands like saxon judas priest ,scorpions etc. metallica with the likes of pantera slayer etc. a different era ,different vibes and very different levels of what i would term as heaviness.maiden are a fantastic band who i have seen live many times but are no longer comparable to metallica on a world stage .ticket sales, album sales and choice of concert venues backs this up.maiden were/are awesome but every time i hear little digs from bruce i feel like cringing.

you know classic rock is beging to fade i love iron maiden but people are to intrested with todays rock...im not complaining cause dont get me wroung kids in glass houses n paramore n elliot minor ect are pretty good but iron maiden, mettalica, anthrax, motley crue they're all specail they brought rock into the world but i guess things change i just dont wanna see these people go!! ozzy ozborne where could you be without him, bruce dickinson an amazing singer never known such a nice bloke in my life!! i am so lucky to go the the "somewhere back in time tour" in australia.
it was amazing! i cryed! my god!
they where incredible and words cant describe how happy i am to think and remember that night.
i wish it lasted for ever!

omg!does anyone here never get sick of the metallica better than maiden,megadeth..the world debate!it gets pure up ma nostrils!personaly i like them all was lucky to see maiden at T'ham the show blew me away!they sound the same if not better than they did in the 80's.on the other hand james sounds alot tamer now i prefered his 80s early 90s voice,mustaine is metal!!
