It is with great regret that Kerrang! can exclusively report that Chicago pop punkers Fall Out Boy have decided to split-up.
FOB mainman Pete Wentz e-mailed us this morning with the following statement:
"We've all got so much going on at the moment it's proving impossible to give Fall Out Boy our fullest attention," he writes. "I've got my record label, clothing empire, beauty salon and up-coming workout DVD to concentrate on.
"Patrick's (Stump, vocals / guitar) acting career is also really taking off. After he played that computer geek turned killer in Law And Order in January the offers haven't stopped rolling in. Like he's totally like gonna play a computer geek turned killer in CSI: Miami and he's also scored a sweet gig as a murder victim in the regular CSI too. You wouldn't see Gerard Way getting TV rolls like that."
As for guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley, Wentz remains typically vague.
"I never really did catch their names," he said.
Fall Out Boy's new DVD, **** - Live in Phoenix, will be released on April 14.
