Nine Inch Nails have released a new digital album entitled Ghosts I-IV.
The first nine tracks of the 36-track instrumental affair are now available for download from the band's website ghosts.nin.com.
The rest of the album can be purchased as a digital download for $5, or $10 for a two-disc CD set, $75 for the deluxe edition package (two audio CDs, a data DVD with all 36 tracks in multi-track format and a Blu-Ray disc with Ghosts I-IV in high-definition 96/24 stereo with an accompanying slideshow), or $300 for the ultra-limited edition set (a four LP set on 180g vinyl in a fabric slipcase limited to 2,500 copies with two exclusive limited edition Giclee prints numbered and signed by Trent Reznor).
"I've been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn't have made sense until this point," mainman Trent Reznor explains. "This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective - dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams. I'm very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference."
