Fall Out Boy have failed on their Guinness Book Of World Records attempt to play shows on all seven world continents... due to a change in the weather.
The pop punk superstars have been holed up in Chile waiting for the go-ahead to travel onto Antarctica - their final destination - but bad weather has prevented the band from completing their mission.
"It's an utter f**king disappointment. ... It's so insane," says bassist Pete Wentz. "We had this idea, and then to not be able to fulfill it is just disappointing, especially when you put it out there. But what are you gonna do, wait until winter's over? It's the worst feeling I've felt in Fall Out Boy. There's no spin for it; we got two hours away from Antarctica and we can't go."
However, according to MTV reports, there is still a chance the group can seize the coveted World Record at some point in the future.
"They're still setting the record," says GBOWR editor in chief Craig Glenday. "It's whenever they make it down here. It can happen whenever; they've just got to make it down to Antarctica."
