Do you have aspirations to be a TV presenter? Are you passionate about rock music? Think you can interview a band that doesn't want to be interviewed? Do you have an opinion? Then the Download Festival needs you.
For the very first time, the Kerrang! sponsored Download Festival has teamed up with Wise Buddah Talent agency in a nationwide search to find the face of the Download Festival. A chance to report on the most recent Download news, stimulate debate with your opinion and interview some of the bands appearing at Download 2008.
The ultimate winner will receive a money can't buy prize that includes a one year contract with Wise Buddah Talent, £1,000 cash, VIP backstage access to Download Festival and a handicam to record all of your Download reports.
All entrants have to do is complete a form and upload a maximum 30 second clip at www.downloadfestival.co.uk/thelowdown between March 3 and March 25.
Entrants must be a UK resident over 14 years old (parental consent required for entrants aged between 14-18) and will be required to provide a weekly video podcast each Friday for www.downloadfestival.co.uk, culminating in daily coverage of the Download Festival itself. At the festival, the winner will be given press accreditation, and provided with full editorial support; enabling them to record interviews with bands and fans, and complete video blogs across the weekend.
