Within Temptation join Iron Maiden bill

Dutch symphonic metallers Within Temptation and London rock chick Lauren Harris have been added to the bill of Iron Maiden's first UK stadium show.

Also on the bill are Orange County metallers Avenged Sevenfold and one other band still TBC.

Iron Maiden will play London's Twickenham Rugby Stadium on July 5. Tickets for the show are on sale now from www.aloud.com.

I like Within Temptation. I dislike Avenged Sevenfold and I can listen to Lauren and not complain because of Richie's solos.

I'm seeing Maiden like 6 times in 5 countries this year so i'm hoping for some other good support...I have to see Avenged 4 fucking times...

i cant believe it, previously i've been bitching about the sucky support bands for maiden, i dont really like A7X and there are very few temptation songs i like, and although lauren harris is hot as hell, shes more pop than rock. so since i got the first comment on this page i thort i'd try to be positive, try and influence some happiness, what happens the one time i give these mediocre bands some support, those bitches start ranting on about how bad it's gonna be. god damn it i've ranted myself into a tangent and i forget my origional point some...bye

Maiden / Twickers

Wow ! Gona be a great day ! The only thing that is concerning me is the set list. After reading reviews of Mumbai etc, the set list is good but why nothing of Killers and why is FOTD included ? I hope for the European shows Killers has a say and FOTD is dropped. After all Killers is mentioned on the flyer !

Maiden / Twickers

If they play anything off Killers, theyre gna play Wrathchild and nothing else, because that IS the best song on the album lets be honest, and FOTD is a crowd favourite, despite the fact that it appears after Seventh Son. So i reckon theyll play FOTD and Wrathchild.

Even if they dont, its gna be an awesome show!

Maiden

I've seen Within Temptation twice and they are good.

A7X are pretty good too, seen Lauren Harris twice and she's nothing special.

Unfortunately not going to Twickenham to see Maiden, I'm going to see them at Wacken instead!!

I bet that the majority of you who are replying in nasty comments are teeny boppers and you dont even understand the meaning of music or decent music. Put two and two together andplease come up with four like I have, it is obvious why Within Temptation and Lauren Harris are supporting Iron Maiden.

One because Lauren Harris is actually the daughter of Steve Harris, who is the bassist of Iron Maiden. Also there if the fact that Lauren Harris actually supported Within Temptation when they were on their Heart of everything tour. So, to repay the favour and it is quite plain that Lauren Harris loves Within Temptation, she recommended Within Temptation as she was there to see how the crowd was with Within Temptation.

This is an excellent line up. Goth metal, Heavy metal and metal music all in one concert, I would be already there if I had the tickets. I have seen Within Temptation and they are mind blowingly fantastic live and I am sure that most of you are going to be quite disapointed to hear I have also seen Iron Maiden live. They both live up to the name of being legends.

Actually, Steve Harris really likes Within Temptation (or at least that's what he said when some journalist caught up with him at Download), so I imagine it worked kinda the other way round. Within Temptation supported Maiden on one of their earlier tours too, I'm not sure which one, but sometime in the 00's...
I love WT :) and on the Maiden Fanclub, most people seemed to like them or at least didn't complain about them...unlike Avenged Sevenfold, who seemed pretty hated :P
I don't mind A7X, and I've never heard Lauren Harris, so it's shaping up to be an awesome gig for me :D

Look em up in youtube, they do have some totally weird songs sometimes, ice queen is their best..and Enter.
I wish I could have gone! all of the bands apart from A7X, are good!
