Nickelback's Rockstar single has been in the charts and lodged in our frontal lobes for pretty much the last three months non stop. And it seems we're not the only ones.
One enterprising fan, who goes by the screen name of James At War, has rewritten and rerecorded the Canadian stadium rockers' surprise hit single under the moniker of Popstar. And it's been sweeping the 'net faster than the Crazy Frog and Star Wars Kid combined!
"This is a parody of Nickelback's Rockstar entitled Popstar," writes James. "It pokes fun at Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Avril Levigne, Kelly Clarckson, Beyonce Knowles, Justin Timberlake, and Micheal Jackson. I have a lame video editing program, so sorry the quality of the vid isn't that great, but hey, it's just myspace. What, are 20 people gonna see it here? Who cares. Say where do you get off judging me anyways?"
