10 songs you should hear now!

I Was A Cub Scout, Pink Squares
A mellow number, filled with epic wonder and spaced-out theramin. Probbably works best in the dark on headphones, rather than blasting out of a club PA.

Go:Audio, Woodchuck
Chirpier than a budgie in Ibiza, Brit pop-punk chaps Go:Audio bounce along this track like they had rubber feet. New Found Glory fans, say hello to your new favourite band.

Set Your Goals, Message In A Bottle
Stylishly strapping punk fizziness to the old Police classic, Set Your Goals are on to a winner here. Covoering old songs in rock style, done this well, will simply never die.

The Ghost Of A Thousand, Black Art Number 1
TGOAT are noisy buggers. But it’s a noise that bagged them a coveted spot in K!’s top twenty albums of 2007. Listen to Black Art Number One’s furious hardcore surge, and try to disagree.

TheAudition, Warm Me Up
With their new Champion album, TheAudition have grown into a band with more great hooks than a deep sea fisherman. Warm Me Up boasts catchiness in every jangle, melody and explosive chorus.

In Case Of Fire, The Cleansing
In Case Of Fire are some of the brightest sparks in UK rock right now, yet, criminally, remain unsigned. This excellent slice of alt-rock goodness begs just one question: how?!

Panic At The Disco, Nine In The Afternoon
Presumably recording their new record at Abbey Road rubbed off on Ryan Ross, as this new Panic track is a wholehearted embrace of Beatles quirkiness and pop perfection.

Against Me!, Ocean
Pulling out an acoustic guitar needn’t mean sappy ballads or country and western twang. Here, Against Me! use them to turn in a blinding, unplugged rendition of their superb Oceans.

Megadeth, A Tout Le Monde
Anyone heading to Megadeth’s UK tour is in for a night of neck-destroying heavy metal action. But if you need a break from Whiplash, this ballad, caught here live in Finland, is a superb breather.

Down, N.O.D.
Live, Down frontman Phil Anselmo talks a lot. But it’s worth it for that moment when he finally shuts up and Down unleash another of their steamroller grooves, as evidenced here.

Come on Secret Crowds by AVA is a MONSTER tune!

It's premiering on MTV2 on Monday! The preview of the video looks EPIC!

You better have it on the playlist in the next 2 weeks!

WHERE IS SECRET CROWDS?

Who Wants AVA?
They're a bunch of dicks
Tom can't even sing
He took the tune from anthem part 2 and used it for everything's magic
idiots can't even think of a new tune
and he's got the biggest ego ever
no Tom you're not going to rule the world you're going to shove it up you're ass
what's he going to do next turn into god?

WHERE IS SECRET CROWDS?

it's not actually the same tune.
it's got different parts to it, so get your facts right.
and actually now he's stopped drinking before shows he's been performing better
and how can you call them all dicks just cause of what you think of tom?

WHERE IS SECRET CROWDS?

i think you'll find you're incorrect about tom having 'the biggest ego ever'.
that award goes to peter wentz.
and i speak as a huge fall out boy/AvA fan...i am so sick of having to put that at the end of every sentance. but its the only way to stop me getting death threats from children...and it doesnt even work very well.

Maybe if they did some heavier stuff you know, maybe more people would like them..

Why ?

Why do people complain to Kerrang that they have too many emo bands in it and that it isn't rock music or even music at all. I think that it is totally selfish of people that are like oh my god you can't have emo music in a rock magazine because clearly emo isn't rock! When it must be bacuase its in it. People complain that there is too much emo bands in Kerrang such as Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds To Mars, My Chemical Romance, Panic At The Disco etc. No-one complains about there being any other genre of bands in it. So i dont see why poeple can't just deal with the fact that not everyone likes the same music. We all are different.
KERRANG is a great magazine no-matter what bands are in it!

I wish you people would stop liking bands that MTV tell you to like, i.e Panic, Fall OUt Boy and any other 'emo' bands. theyre the 21st centurys version of the spice girls and boyzone. in other words corperat pop music.

The Same Emo Argument!

EMO IS THIS EMO IS THAT!

For the past 3-4 years, All I hear is 'EMO IS THIS, EMO IS THAT'
Cant people just come to terms with the fact that this music is 'popular'and that the ammount of times the bring up the what is emo argument is NOT gonna change this.

The music is popular, like it or not. The band must have done SOMETHING right to get that far.

I'm a fan of heavier music than what these people consider 'emo music' but i still respect musicians for being musicians.

Stay (sic)
