Paramore sat 2nd brixton

Before I even read this , I hope to good Paramore dont get 4/5 Ks for there performances at brixton academy .. Dude wtf
i never seen such a standstill crowd taking photo's for thier myspaces all night long and what was with turning the house lights on every 5 minutes ??
Not to mention hayley missed out on a few notes and you could barely hear her i mean come on what the fuck was that ... i payed over £60 to take my mates for christmas !

In response to the letter about 30STM in Dublin last week. Can I just say that if you really cared about 30STM music then the fact that Jared wouldn't strip shouldn't have bothered you. Also you can't exactly blame the band because the ferry to Ireland was late, can you? The band obviously tried their hardest under the circumstances and it isn't fair for you to judge them in that way. While I'm on the subject of 30STM gigs, can I also just add that I have a new found respect for Jared and the band after their performance in Norwich on the 3rd. Absolutely fucking insane.

Iron Maiden

I have been a Kerrang reader for quite some time now. I am aware that Iron Maiden have been on the cover more than any other band, but there really has been a lack of the Maiden. The world tour has recieved very little attention, nor has the DVD and nor did 'A Matter Of Life And Death' released in 2006. Plus, they headlined Download last year, but who do you put on the front of teh Download issue? Marilyn Manson. And not even a mention of Iron Maiden on the front despite the fatc they were headlining download and this was the Download festival preview issue.

Glad to see a duble page spread for Iron Maiden. Though i notice you've only written about 200 words. Atleast its a start.

AND: On the top of the cover it says:

PARAMORE / BFMV / GALLOWS

I have read through whats in the mag many times and the only mention of Gallows is a poster. This is very misleading and i think its stupid. Bands across the top should be there because there is a feature or large article about them, not becuase they're popular.

30 STM interview

I actually bought a copy of the magazine and read the 30 STM article. For Echelon and the haters, specifically this article is perfect for them and us to realize how much heart and work goes into the family that is 30 STM. You will realize during the article the devotion that Echelon has for the Band and vice versa. It’s not about being a Rock Star Band, it’s about being part of the band on a greater scale. I’m happy with the articles real portrayal of the best band to grace us in recent years.
So haters go ahead and hate but you got no idea what your missing cause 30 STM isn't your average “I’m a f*cking rock star, idolize me” band. Like the article states, they are actually accessible because they actually care about their supporters.

yeah i totally agree!!
my friends hate 30stm and never believed i would be able to meet them let alone have a decent chat with them. so when i did, they were just so shocked to find that they signed my ticket and posed for a photo.
people do not realise that 30stm are not some band that just say that 'they love their fans', they actually DO really love their fans. and the fact that they do not have security guards to whisk them away from 'dangerous fans' or whatever, proves it. i mean, how degrading is that??
30stm understand that we are just people like them and try to be on the same level as us and i, and other fans im sure, truly appreciate that.

I first heard them at the end of '06 and didn't think much of metal then (More of a punk rock kid then) but since I got into Bullet for my Valentine, I have really started liking metal more! So thanks Bullet! They are amazing and am so obsessed with them right now! Especially 10 Years Today and their Metallica cover of Creeping Death. Pure awesomeness!

I was at the Manchester Academy and Liverpool Mountford Hall gigs - absolutely awesome!! And they did a signing after both which was so cool.

I am generally a devoted Kerrang! fan but this week's issue was.. Shocking. I think I speak for quite a few people here when I say 'No one gives a fuck about Ville Valo!' Well.. Except Web.. But seriously, how many more Ville posters are you going to feed to my shredder? Also, who needs to see a big fuck off huge pretty-boy Pete Wentz face staring at you from the mag? Not me anywho. Now my rant is over. Oh but the bit on Iron Maiden was pretty cool and a Bonjovi competition?! Woot! I'm a die-hard Bonjovi fan you see. But alas, this Kerrang! wasn't.. Too bad. I went to see 30 seconds to mars on sunday 29th January and they were amazin. Jared was ill and puking all day but still came on stage to satisfy our needs. Now that is one fucking showman.

I saw these live at Newcastle 3 weeks ago and they were AMAZING! Yes they were late, but I wasnt too fussed as it was only 30 mins. Before they finished Jared announced they were gonna do a signing for us to go and "Hang out" with them. So I waited and waited...for about and hour and half. Still I wasnt too bothered Iwas gonna have to wait in the cold for my lift.
I finally got to the table where they were sat after getting told by the guards we werent allowed to take pics and if we had a camera in our hands 30stm were gonna walk off...again I wasnt too bothered I was about to meet them.
I was stood at the table and guess what, THEY ARE THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF TOSSERS i HAVE EVER MET! They were wearing fucking RUBBER GLOVES to sign stuff!They just sat in silence and when Jared took my ticket to sign, he flicked it off the table. When I got outside and looked at the signatures...well not signatures just random lines and dots...actually similar to Jared patheticexcuse for a self portrait a few issues back.
I still likethe music but i would never waste my money on them, illegally download their music..they deserve it.

At least you got to meet them after the gig. I went to the one at the Carling Academy in Bristol on the 31 Jan. During the concert, which was amazing, Jared said that if anyone wanted to meet them (which is something I read they really like to do after each concert) they would be outside afterwards - as the venue wasn't suitable for a meet and great inside. So, along with hundreds of others, I went straight to the back of the venue when the concert finished. Now, bear in mind, it was now 10.30PM on a cold day in January. We all stood there, for well over half an hour, waiting for them to come out only for the Manager to eventually come out after 11 to inform us it wasn't going to happen after all. He went on to say the band wanted to come out but the situation wasn't suitable for a meet and greet. If this was the case - Why the h*** didn't he come out earlier and say so? It was a big disapointment at the end of what was a brilliant evening and a few of the crowd made their feelings known.

surely you can sympathise? they have to do this all the time and they have to do it for HUNDREDS of ppl! i was a little disappointed after meeting them, even though i got a hug, but then my friends made me realsie i was just being a spoilt brat! n tht i shud be grateful! if u had met them at a different time or place theyd probably have been better.
as for the gloves i heard they were them because they get ill or summat from the fans and we wudnt want tht! besides how many bands do u know who wud meet n greet after workin their arses off on stage!
as for the no camera policie....tht was unfair! then again i suppose it was to stop them being blinded! lol

Hey everyone,

just like to say if haters want to offend bands that work there arses off for there fans then they mst be fucked up in the head or something!!

Now i like alot of music genres frm metal to some indie but 30 tbh i think is a league above most bands. I was on the barrier at there norwich gig on the 2nd (holy mary they were feking immense(I GOT JARED LETO's PICK!!!)) and they gave that gig there all. i saw MCR at th o2 and dont get me wrong MCR were amazing but 30 seriously just kicked ass.

Thanks Kerrang! for doing a great article on an awesome band. Hopefully it will teach some people to respect artists and if they continue to abuse these bands all i have to say is i liked to see you do better!!!!

What A Nice Difference

I read the bit about Jared letting a girl and her grandfather let him take pictures with him, in Leeds. I thought that was REALLY fucking nice of Jared. I mean he even talked with them afterwards!! So I just wanted to say that I thought that was fucking lovely of the guy to take his time to talk to his fans!! It's also nice to hear that the fans of 30STM can get photo's and signatures without having security staring you all the time... how intimidating.

I went to watch them on Monday in Koln. They were bloody fantastic!!! The Fantasy was awesome, as was the whole thing. I tell you, Jared Leto can talk the hind legs off a donkey.
I got really really pissed off with a couple of short fat lesbos who were trying to climb up the support beams tho. Seriously people, give the people behind you a cahnce to see you ignorant feckers!! Oh and, please please GHD your hair if your going to a concert. Far too many people blocking the view with their side show bob hair.

This Issue

There wasn’t a lot to get excited about this issue except for album reviews of To-Mera and Kingdom of Sorrow and also features on Bloodsimple and the Kerrang tour. I’m guessing the Kerrang tour feature was done before the Brixton show as there was no mention of the incident between Coheed and Madina Lake and it wasn’t in the news section as we on the Scuzz forums thought it would be.

I think the gloves are so they don't get pen everywhere aren't they? cos with the amount of people at each signing - like 700 or something ridiculous-they are gonna get covered!

and yeah they slide the photos to the next one to get signed or they'd be here all bloody night! I went to 2 of the signings (manc and liverpool) and thought they were all really lovely both times - very patient.

So, maybe you shpuld try simple plan oor some other band of they're not good enough with their glove wearin!

i really don't think pete wentz is that hot and to be honest he's not even that talented! its the same with Hayley Williams from Paramore, so many people thin she's hot and a great singer but i really dont think she is! i don't think a band have to have a hot lead singer to be good but so many people think so and i can't understand it! my favourite band are slipknot and i wouldn't say their all that good looking but there music is amazing and its the same with marilyn manson, i think people should get away from checking our peoples look and start listening to the music!!!!!!!!!!! so yeahh go Emmmmmmmmmmmma XxX

hey to all those non belivers, and people writing negative comments about 30stm should just shut THE FUCK UP!!!!, I can't believe how ungrateful some of the people how meet 30stm are being. I saw them on 27th at manchester and i meet them even though it was just for a short time, I thought they were really nice and am not just sayin that cause am a huge fan, but they genuinley really friendly, and jared called me sweetheart. and jared was really ill that day he confesses during the show that he had been throwing up all day, however he absolutley kicked ass, they rocked, and then to stay back to do signings/meet fans just shows how dedicated and love their fans. just imagine how jared must of felt after throwing up all day, i bet hardly anyone would perform if they were ill, most bands/singers would have canceled, it just shows what a great performer/band they really are. can't wait to see them next year xxxxxxxxxxx

I think there should be more abot elliot minor mentioned in K magazine because they're an amazing band and you dont see alot about them in the mag.
I've seen them live a few times and they put on great shows,each 1 better everytime, and not only do the put on a great show, there all great guys.

Everyone quit your whining. Elliot Minor sound like like amplified ballbags, 30STM are the most overplayed generic band ive heard in years and if anyone mentions Madina Lake then I hope you die in a fire. The music scene is dead, were just getting regurgated Fall Out Boy bands over and over again. The only decent band out there atm are Circa Survive. The only band that cares more about music than haircuts. Also check out Finely Tuned Assassins, (www.myspace.com/finelytunedassassins) - only a small band but still good.

thirty seconds to mars are fantastic,i understand that some may not apreciate them ,but why be so vile about them!i saw them in bristol last month and they were amazing,the first band in ages to get me excited,they are awesome.as for jared,he is a lovely genuine person, i spoke to him and hes totally charming.ive been gigging it for years and never have encountered a band like thirty seconds,they truely appreciate their fans so fuck y'all !

i went to see 30STM in january in dublin. the show was great and afterwards me and two friends, along with no more than 30 people, decided to wait outside to see if we could meet the band. we stood outside in the freezing irish weather for three hours and they not only did we ot get to meet them they went out of their way to completly avoid us. i wasnt that upset until i read this weeks Kerrang and saw that they meet and signed for 700 fans. this just makes me feel completly cheeted because most bands seldom play in ireland and alot of bands that do play the ambassador do come out and meet their fans. how could they sign for 700 fans and yet spend like 3 hours trying to aviod others.

well you don't what their situation was, they must have had a reason why they didn't come out, because they met and did signings for the rest of their fans on the tour, so there must have been a reason, jared would'nt do that on person jared, tomo and shannon really respect their fans, im sure you'll meet them next time their in irlend.

oh and to RICH who has posted that video of jared "looking like he hit a fan", you and other people don't know what that situation was, you don't know what that fan was doing, maybe they were hurting jared, apparently the fan would not let go of his arm, and where pulling him down, but we don't know and RICH u weren't their, and theirs been nothin on the news, and the person who was supposedly hit hasn't came forward and complained, so stop trying to make jared look bad, because you just don't know. maybe he didn't even hit anyone, I know that it looks like he did but u don't know, some on you tube actually said that he just hit the metal barrier, and one person who was there said that they do't think he hit someone because when it happened no one reacted at all. so if he did actually hit a fan their would have been a g=huge reaction, and that person would have sued his arse big time.

saw them in leeds...i actually got kinda bored.the support band 'lost alone' was fuck loads better, they put more into the performance instead of relying on special effects like 30STM..plz dnt hurt me!

hey Isaw them at Manchester and they were fuckin awesome, best gig ever, and really the support act was fucking painful with a capital P!!!!!!!!!
anyways 3ostm only used some special effects like lighting and they only did it for us and to make the show stand out. THEY WERE NOT BORING THEY WERE FUCKING BRILLIANT. and jared wouldn't hurt a fan i'v e seen that video myself, it looks a bit stodgy, we can't judge we don't know what happened, and if he did which i generally i don't think he did, then am sure there was a good reason too, some fans just get to over excited and think that they can do whatever the hell they want especially when it's JARED LETO, hottest/nicest guy on the whole planet.

just to inform you i am a very unbiased person. yes i heard about the rubber glove situation and tbh it did really put me off them , but you have to remember what other band attempts to the best of their ability to meet every single one of their fans? NOT VERY and it might not be their fault about the gloves for example , at the glasgow gig they stopped the meet and greet . i was mortified not only that i didnt get to show them my dedicated tattoo but over 14 hours of waiting in a que for the gig and not even a hello . but it was the tour managers fault as he was the one that cut the meet and greet. also they do non stop touring and try their best for the fans . and for the letter about the dublin gig. they cant help it if their late , i dont know how they came but if they did by plane the whole of the airport staff were on strike and my mum was 5 hours late getting to dublin , and it didnt just affect you guys at dublin it affected the glaswegians too they were late and shit also for us. anyway it just annoys me of all the hate for 30stm because of the way people perseive jared . IT IS NOT JUST HIM IN THE BAND . dont just totally take the piss out of the talented band because you dont like the lead singer its especially unfair on shannon and tomo. anyway they love their fans and try to do their best for them , just because they dont have time for people who completey diss their band , so what would yous fucking take the time to care about the non believers ? ANYWAY GIG WAS THE BEST I'VE BEEN TOO , in case of fire was great also (: . but hey maybe get a better itinerary next time ?

I agree with theabove comments, 30 SECONDS TO MAS ARE THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD. and I also ish people would stop dissing them. i saw them at manchester this was also my first ever gig, no im not 12 im 16, they were absolutley amazing, and i still can't believe i got to meet the afterwards, they were really sweet and friendly. and yes they all really repect their fans,an ty do everything for their fans.

and can i please state that they wore rubber gloves because of germs and stuff the that, they did it because they were using permanent marker for about 2hrs, and i saw a picture of them one of the signngs and thier gloves were covered in pen marker, s i they didn't have those glove on thn it wuld hav took a lot of scrubbin to get that shit off.

oh and to the person wh said that 12yr olds think it's cool to swear, how hell do u know what age they are, they could be 21 for all u know kerrand aint just for 12yr olds, m sixteen i buy it, ad i swear too, so STOP TALKING BULLSHIT.and if people wanna swear, then let them fucking swear.
