Fall Out Boy comic on the way

Fall Out Boy are the latest rock band to get their own comic. The Chicago emo heroes are working with The Dabel Brothers on developing a new comic book project based on the band.

The as yet unnamed comic series will be produced in collaboration with the band with heavy involvement from bassist Pete Wentz and drummer Andy Hurley. Hurley, a self confessed comic book geek, is really excited about the project:

"It a great opportunity to create different versions of ourselves and tell an interesting story at the same time."

The first edition of the FOB comic will be released later this year.

A comic about them???? Umm okey dokey. I guess its good that the band are actually gonna be involved in the making of it but dear god no. Of all the bands to do a comic about, it had to be Fall Out Boy. I would rather read a comic about Britney Spears!

Times We Feel Alive

Its gonna be basically like scooby doo, they fight crime n help little emo's when they feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel.. At the end of each issue they'll solve whatever problem this weeks story will entail (whether its a crying emo or world peace) then at the end they'll always play a gig, all smiley except petey boy whos busy pouting and posing

firstly, i dont know HOW FOB can be considered emo. But still, you gotta hand it to them, theyre gonna make SO much money outta this, it makes me wonder... at what point does a band stop being about music and start being about money and publicity? theyve wrote some good songs ( even though theyre more like pop than emo, or anything else)so why do they need to do this? they could just make more good music, and target people who have a strong liking for FOB, not people who are so obsessed they want to read about FOBS imaginery world-saving.

Gerard Way does have his own comic book series, but his is nothing to do with MCR, it's about dysfunctional superhereos- I guess FOB's comic is going to be about Fall Out Boy? So it's completely different and their not copying him at all. It's not like he owns the rights to a musician making a comic book.
P.S My Chemical Romance & Fall Out Boy are my two favourite bands, and I'm not Emo FYI.
