Download: We've only gone and got two more bands for you!

Following yesterday's exclusive announcement of Disturbed, Incubus, Alter Bridge and In Flames we have ANOTHER TWO BANDS for you!

And they are K! Relentless Energry Drink Tour 2008 headliners Coheed & Cambria and the mighty Children Of Bodom!

For Coheed & Cambria it will be a chance to exorcise the demons from their appearance at Download 2006, a period when the band was close to falling apart.

"We were one man down," explains bassist Michael Todd. "Our drummer didn't make it over, so we were playing with our drum tech as a replacement and it was less than cosy onstage. It was kind of a bum-out as it was one of the biggest shows that we have ever played. "Donington is one of those festivals that if you have a good spot on the bill, you've made it!" he adds. "It's going to be awesome."

"We've wanted to play Download for years," explains Children Of Bodom bassist Henkka SeppÑlÑ. "I can't wait to see Judas Priest. They're a band everybody has to see!"

The Kerrang!-sponsored Download festival will be headlined by: Kiss, The Offspring and Lostprophets

Other bands on the bill include: Alter Bridge, Children Of Bodom, Coheed & Cambria, Disturbed, HIM, In Flames, Incubus, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Rise Against,

The Download festival takes place the weekend of June 13 to June 15. Tickets are on sale now. Prices are as follows: a full weekend ticket: £130, standard camping: £20, camper van: £40, family zone camping: £20, lockers: £11, parking £10 in advance or £15 on the day. There will be a variety of ticket packages available to buy, including the RIP packages (a VIP package) from £315. For Club or VIP Experience packages, please call 020 7009 3484 to discuss your requirements.

But having Disturbed, Incubus and C and C have lifted my spirits about going to download this year.... But it's still not good enough...lets hope some more good bands make the listing.

alright guys i think downloads shaping up to be the best year yet nearly all the bands anounced have somthing diffrent to offer, i myself am a metalhead but do you guys not relise download is big enough now they have to cater for the masses not just a small group of metal fans. that said in some respects the orgeniziers are becoming to big up there own asses i.e. why is lostprofits closing the festival and not the ledgends that are judas priest ????? i think theyve got the bill correct in the wrong order if they swaped the headliners about ( cob friday inflames sat and preist sunday) it would 99 per cent perfect well thats my 2 cents let the aguments continue over to you.........

This is the worst Download line up I have ever seen. Pinkpop get Rage Against The Machine and Metallica, we get indie nobodies Lostprohets, a band that had 5 good tunes 10 years ago in the Offspring and two original members of the most massively overrated and commercially focused rock band ever.

Hmm. When the headliners were announced I wasn't exactly too pleased. Don't get me wrong, Kiss are good, Lostprophets are okay, but The Offspring? They're pretty old and i'm not exactly sure they could live up too headliners tbh. Now that they've announced In Flames, Disturbed etc, I might go. I think they really need too put some bands on the bill worth the £130! C'mon guys, make us happy. x

Oh and last years bill was so much better. Yet, the year before that was the best. I agree with kickingking. Pinkpop get Metallica and Rage, and we get some bands that were okay years ago. They best have some good bands too come, or else I think Download this year will loose alot of fans. But that's just my opinion. Sorry guys.

deary me - on the level? dont worry KISS - WILL - put on a good show, Offspring? i dont recall them making any significance to Rock n Roll, tough call though Kerrang HAVE sold out to this "NEW METAL" scene quite badly, Disturbed will put on a good show, Goth Metal scene wise, how about EPICA? or going off on a tangent lets also have NIN,Metallica,Trouble? anythin other than "NuMetal" that lots just music for Hairdryers ed!!! sort it! This line up is brilliant, its not a download line up as such but its VERY varied which is brilliant. Theres something for everyone. Ill be wwatching the offspring, disturbed, Kiss, Prophets, Priest and Incubus, all brilliant bands of different genres. You cant blame anyone else because your shallow and dont like a good range of music. Pssst, i listen to Tupac, Dizzee Rascal, Taking Back Sunday, Machine Head, Deathstars and Pendulum. All different Genres, its the best way to be. Get over yourselves and get to download!

Am going, but not overly impressed with the line-up. Only two I like are Rise Against and the Prophets. And please, save the childish remarks about how you think they are shit, as guess what, I don't care ! Why can't we have My Chem again or Avenged or even Biffy. Last year was fantastic by the way ! Although had to leave early so missed Maiden. Also I don't care if you hate that I am not using their names properly !!! K, add some more bands that I like. Lololol. P.S - Kiss not dead yet ? And who the hell are Offspring. Thought they were a one hit wonder with that annoying white guy song ! Really let yourselves down with the main acts ! people calm down theres only been a few bands anounced theres like 90 odd to go so the headliners suck owell im sure offspring will rock when ur drunk lol theres gonna be enough bands for EVERYONE to enjoy and if u dont like a band check out the stalls the bands are the main thing but theres million other reasons to go ( the rides, the beer tents the bouncy castle shaped like a pop stars tits lol) its all good.

Sure, it has not been all metal in previous years - variety is the spice if life. But it has been MAINLY metal with MAINLY metal headliners. Not a metal festival? Then why all the metal band Tshirts? Have we all just dressed up to pretend? No! We were there to see Metallica, System of a Down, Motorhead, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Anthrax, Machine Head, etc, etc. These headliners are a kick in the teeth to all metal fans who have made it what the festival it is today. None are metal and, in fact, The Lost Prophets went out their way to say they are not a metal band anymore at the release of their last album. I hope all three headliners are bottled and soundly booed by the metalheads (if any are there) - not because the bands deserve it, but to give a loud signal to the organisers THEY HAVE BETRAYED AND INSULTED THE HARDCORE FANS THAT HAVE ALREADY LINED THEIR POCKETS!!!! PS Somebody suggests I go to Wacken to see a major metalfest...bloody hell! Is this all the UK can offer metal fans...go to Germany??!!

i firt attended donington in 1987 and its always been a drop of the heavy stuff please for me personally .slayer,metallica ,onslaught, sepultura,s.o.d etc. im sure you get my taste,but i love music full stop. ive been heavily into techno ie joey beltram,carl cox.even been to the opera but ive got to admit in retrospect. donington was NEVER pure metal. fuckin hell 1987 saw bon jovi headline.I think the problem now is that back then it was just all classed as metal whereas nowadays heavy music has so many sub catagories.What i would like to say is i think most peoples prob. is that the lostprophets and offspring simply arent world class bands.how the fuck can u compare these 2 with the likes of system,metallica,maiden? u cant.look around and see whats happening elsewhere.class bands in thier own field headlining other festivals. i personally feel let down. this isnt about emo ,hardcore thrash old school .this is about seeing bands who are special and these 2 arent and never will be.
