Just who will be joining Kiss, The Offspring, Lostprophets, HIM, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Rise Against? Place your bets below...

The Download festival takes place the weekend of June 13 to June 15. Tickets are on sale now. Prices are as follows: a full weekend ticket: £130, standard camping: £20, camper van: £40, family zone camping: £20, lockers: £11, parking £10 in advance or £15 on the day. There will be a variety of ticket packages available to buy, including the RIP packages (a VIP package) from £315. For Club or VIP Experience packages, please call 020 7009 3484 to discuss your requirements.

Disabled customers can call 0121 767 9729 to discuss accessibility arrangements. Please note, disabled customers will be provided with one free ticket for their helper, where required. Should additional helper tickets be required, please call the disabled access ticket line on 0121 767 9729 or email access@downloadfestival.co.uk

It would be great to see Amy Lee and whats left of her band these days...

nooooo not because they're good, but because the best sleep I had last years festival was when these guys were on stage. Thanks to Evanesence I was able to rock out that little bit longer afterward.

although seriously now, theres alot of mistakes that happened last year that need rectifying.... Korn and Motley Crue on the Snickers stage (or whatever stage theyre calling it) when you have the likes of linkin park and my chemical romance on the main stage??? o.O I mean come on this needs to stop happening or Download will be full of kids whose parents can afford to spend over £150 (£130 ticket, £20 camping, + parking + fees) on a ticket. I have to get a job, stop eating for a week and use hard earned cash just for a kick in the nuts when i get there.

If slipknot get announced to play download then theres a high possibility that i may f*****g shite myself with excitment! And that isnt even me over-exaggerating!

Download isnt actually a metal only festival so calm down folks (even though all i want is metal metal and more metal)

My dream lineup would have to have slipknot, 36 crazyfists, my dying bride, iron maiden...the list is endless but to be honest the only one me a non-religious person is actually praying for is the knot!

I agree, Download is great as it offers all the different kinds of rock in one place. Not everyone can like everyband there. You go for one band and you find you like another one that you thought you wouldn`t. Thats what`s so great about rock music. I`d like to see:-

i dont care about past line-ups.
download is a ROCK festival. and ive never been. and with the direction its going in, ill never go.
the current commercial success is in the softer side of rock. so of course more of that side of rock will be represented. download is a festival that wants to gain commercial success. therefore whatever sells tickets gets on the bill, as long as its under the rock umbrella unfortunately.

before 2006 the majority of the bands fell under the metal banner, you should care about past line-ups, if the festval had always been the wy its going no one would be complaining... people are complaining because its changing
just cos download isnt catering to power metal or whatever doesnt mean its not metal...
and obv the reason all these awful bands keep playing is because of commercialism and money. thats just stating the obv.

Heard loads of roumours including 4 stages this year, but strongest romours of bands playing are:
Avenged Sevenfold
30 seconds to Mars
Fear Factory
so I'll go for them and Slipknot

Last time Kiss headlined, Ozzy supported, now that would be good!

Beaing a grey haired metal head and seeing Motorhead and Judast Priest on the bill makes me want more Old Skool!
Twisted Sister, Saxon, Anthrax, Whitesnake, Therapy? Magnum, Led Zep -wow! and of course Maiden (I thought they said last year they were going to build a Pyramid in Leicestershire in the Summer?!)

Ugh.. No one should fight over bands. Everyone likes a different sound and none of them are gay,stupid, or anything else of that nonsense. Although I'd prefer some heavy music.
If I were to put up a line up this would be it:

Black Dahlia Murder

Iron Maiden
Linkin Park
Portishead

The Fall of Troy
Chiodos
As you can tell I tried to put different varieties of music knowing that this is like an all metal/rock show I tried to come up with a decent list. Portishead,fall of troy, and chiodos have these certian sounds that I do like and are very experimental, although metal is my all time favorite no doubt.
I hope someone would reply and tell me what you think.

The thing is they are not doing(atm) one day tickets so its highly unlikely that mummy and daddy wud come to a metal/rock fest for the whole wk end or let any kid under the age of 16/17 come alone so we wnt get all the fuckin emo/gerrard way fan club fags there this yr like we did last yr =).

However download/kerrang/radio 1 need to pull there f'ing fingers out there arse and get some proper bands playing at this event. I wanna see 1 band on that list at the moment its really not enough to make me wanna part wi £150+ of my hard earned cash atm.
However the likes of Slip, korn, atreyu, avenged and some other real bands might make me change my mind but its not looking good so far.

This looks like it has disater wrote all over it.....

u keep coming up wi poop like this organiser ppl or DL and kerrang and u will begin to find ur self wi no ppl at ur pop festivals!

I think there should be some more melodic rock bands on the bill too. there are some great bands out there including 'Eutopia' from london.(check them out very cool melodic rockers) how about van halen or the like on the bill too??
