My Chemical Romance return to the UK in March?

According to postings on their official website and their MySpace page, My Chemical Romance will return to the UK in March for not one, not two, not three, but FOUR nights at London's O2 Arena.

The band's four night residency in the capital will run from March 18 to March 21.

I'll be going to London for one of those dates even though I live in Germany.
It's MCR, so it's totally worth the money, time, and fighting with the parents.

I can't wait to see them again! If I manage to convince my parents of letting me go, this will be my 6th time seeing them.

However, I do think they need a serious break after this tour. They deserve it more than any other band I can think of :)

no offence but with the eagles playin on some off the nights i cant seem them letting mcr play....

Eagles are a massive band who have done 10x more than mcr have done and are legends!!!

Dont get me wrong would love to see mcr again and if is true will be getting a ticket.

MCR March Tour Dates

Oh my God. They were amazing there in November 07, so I'll definitely be getting tickets.

I've been to see them 5 times now in 12 months and each time, they were fantastic, but they were on fire at the 02. My best gig yet and a do go to a lot of gigs!

but people moaning about prices.. sleep in a hostel (£10/£20). by train tickets hugely in advance and you will save alot of money.

Don't write it off yet...

Shane Ward is playing in May not March, so that doesn't clash. Only one Eagles date clashes with ONE MCR date, so it's likely there's been a mistake made for that particular date.

It is on the official website, and often the venues won't have the dates up yet. A worker on the phonelines probably doesn't have detailed information like future dates that havn't yet been publicised. Don't write it off as a rumour or a hacking job just yet.

The Eagles are playing 2 of the same exact dates that you claim MCR are supposed to be playing. Maybe you should call a representative for the band before posting things like that. I know the dates are up on their site, but something obviously is not adding up here.

Unless they are supporting the Eagles or vice versa, something is very wrong here. You should still have contacted a band representative or someone reliable from the label to confirm this. The 02 arena seats, what? About 20,000? The dates are about 2 months away and there isn't even a way to buy tickets, no e-mails or statements have been sent out or anything. If they expect to fill those seats you would think they'd make reliable information available ASAP. Its just not adding up and I think because people look to places like this for news its only fair that you get legitimate confirmation of news like this before posting. Their myspace and website could have easily been hacked. I'm not saying its not true, its just a little perplexing that everyone seems to be jumping the gun here. :/

About the break thing, MCR are doing Bamboozle left in America in May...
So there isn't a break.
They're also rumoured to be opening for Mindless Self Indulgence on their US tour. I think that tour is in April, possibly.

They've been rumoured to be doing four London shows for a while now.

Surely someone couldn't have hacked both their myspace and official site.

MCR and The Eagles

yeaa both bands defo confirm they playing 20th march.....(check their websites) but considering 02 website and ticketmaster both have eagles for that date....my only guess is either:

A - the mcr website got hacked/someone fucked up

B - one of the bands will be playing an afternoon show or something (i very much doubt it tho)

would be awsome to see MCR over here tho =D

MCR have to come to scotland again some time. Gerard liked the blow up sheep in Aberdeen.

'Gerard announced late 2007 that they would be extending the last leg of the tour into mid to late March of 2008, before going on hiatus for 2008 to just gain more life experience, and not to expect anything new, as far as to make the tentatively scheduled 2009 release of their next CD, but I was under the impression that there were to be some US tour dates.'

No More Tourdates On The Website For London!

Hey!

I Commented early i was really excited thinking they were coming back and on the offically mcr site there was 4 tourdates for london the o2 arena i've been checking for hours and just a minute ago they took the U.K Tourdates Of Im Really Upset!!!

I Hope They Do Come Back To London for one show before they go on leave!!

they said on their last tour that they wouldn't play the UK for a LONG time, and i was like oh i can save up again so i can actually afford however much they will be paying on their next tour
as someone has said though it probably has been hacked
plus they should play different dates as london isn't the most convienient for everyone
oh well, at least i can think about the good times, as in free tickets to KOKO xD

Their site WAS hacked. The dates are fake, and they're gone now. I emailed Reprise and they said:

"Hi.

There have been some issues with several bands on our label and somebody hacking into their sites and web accounts.

None of European dates on My Chemical Romance's website posted are true, and the issue is being investigated."

i think it will be awesome if they do play those dates but!! on their last tour in november last year they announced at all shows apart from the london one that they were going on a two year break( well deserved and very delayed!)

but they didnt announce that at the london show so maybe it was because they are only going to do shows in london, if they do any but they wont be touring the whole country.(which i kno sucks but at least its something)

i hope they do announce official dates soon, i will so be there!!

And now MCR's own bloody webpage has been hacked into.

If it's not true, then... I'm pretty disappointed. But I do think that they should probably take a break from touring and get back into the studio.
Well, I would love to see them live again though. 15th November in the O2 was AMAZING. =]

But MCR are DEFFINATELY coming back in 2009, and to be honest its not THAT long away.

the Eagles are set to play O2 on the same days unless MCR are supporting them which doesnt seem likely as i've heard they will be going into the studio in april for album #4.
