Velvet Revolver were forced to utilise guest vocals from their fans at their Sundance Film Festival show at Park City, Utah on Sunday night after frontman Scott Weiland failed to turn up.
According to PageSix.com, sources inside the VR camp said that "Weiland had missed his flight to Sundance. But that didn't stop his bandmates from literally asking the crowd if they wanted to have a go."
The troubled singer, who has a long-running and much publicised battle with drugs and alcohol, was in court last Thursday (January 17) relating to a driving under the influence charge form last November. And Sunday night's no-show incident has fuelled internet speculation that Weiland may have fallen off the wagon again.
Weiland is due to rejoin Velvet Revolver's current US tour in Chicago on January 24.
