Good Charlotte singer's baby joy

Congratulations to Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden and girlfriend Nicole Richie who brought their first child into the world last week.

Richie gave birth to a little girl, which the couple have named Harlow Winter Kate Madden, at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on January 11. Harlow weighed in at 6lbs 7oz and mother and baby are reportedly both doing well.

Speaking to US magazine People, Madden said: "We are very blessed she's healthy and beautiful."

A spokesperson for the couple said: "The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital over the weekend with her ecstatic parents."

Why?? Why Joel?? you had to call her that didn't you?? Rockstars should not conform to the whole celbrities giving their kids stupid names thing. please tell me when she's older she just calls herself Kate.

I kinda agree... I would understand perhaps if it was a male named ..."Harlow", But Harlow Winter kate for a female is sorta over doing it. But congrats Joel and Nicole on the baby! ^.^

Oh My God

You are actually slagging off a name, are you serious? There is actually no problem with that name. It is a name that will stand out from all the rest. How do you think our names came about? They were classed as weird when they came out I am sure.

A name has to be invented some how and this one is GREAT.

i'm so damn proud of him :D joel and nicole said they found out she was pregnant on GC's UK tour in May, so maybe we'll hold a special place in their lives? who knows.
and harlow isn't that bad...when i first heard it i was like: 'harlow? wtf?' but now i think its kinda sweet, lol.

CONGRATS!!

I'm so happy for them!! joel is so happy bout his daughter and obviously adores her, so would people shut the fuck up and stop slagging off the child. grow up.
