Velvet Revolver singer to face jail time

Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland is facing a year in jail after being charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

The singer was arrested on November 21 after crashing his car on a Los Angeles highway.

Weiland, who is free on $40,000 bail, is awaiting a court hearing.

What a cunt you are!

Sort out their (oh look I can spell properly) priorities?? What should their priorities be? They have caught someone breaking a law. A law that is designed to protect the other road users. Driving while under the influence of any substance is dangerous and illegal. The police rightly arrested and have charged him. I'm sorry if it might upset your plans but that's what you get when you buy tickets to a band with a junkie as the front man!

Agreed

I agree with the comment above mine. The police may as well arrest the whole of the chav community. Is it me or are they all on drugs for listening to crappy hip hop, lol?

The police are messed up in the head for doing this. They allow other celebs to get away with it, like attention seeking bitch britney.

Serves him right.

How can you lot disagree with him being locked up?
Just because he's in a band.
If he was driving under the influence, then yeah he should be locked up.
He could've killed someone.
I don't care who he is, he should be locked up for this.

Well .. what a f*kin waste

The guy must be pretty messed up. But he has had plenty of times to sort himself out, been in rehab plenty of times..and the other guys in VR and his friends have stuck by him. Seems like lost cause to me.

Secondly, ... Lock Him Up.. Driving under the influnece of drugs.. yer, thats really f*kin rock n roll aint it....well done scott, you f*kin moron, pull yah self together and get a f*kin grip instead of having a pi*ss weak attitude..

Its kind of a bent system,,,

The thing is, what i dont understand and i just cannot get my head round this. He was found in driving under the influence of drugs. This guys is a known drug taker, he's been warned about this he's also been in serious trouble and had previous court hearings. But, the current charge is "Driving under the Influnce of drugs".... why on earth have they let him out on bail. innocent until proven guilty, the guy was taken in cos he was drugged up behind a wheel. !!... why have they let him go on bail?.. has the penny not dropped there that if a guy is drug taker a visit to the police that night has prolly done f*k all for him and they have just released this guy on bail and they now face the risk of him jumping in his motor and not just putting him self at risk but other too.. its bullsh*t... i dont wanna hear this crap about released on bail, innocent till proven.. thats horse sh*t.. he should be contained until they get to trail.. if he's been brought in under the influence of drugs he's hardley f*kin innocent is he...!!

whats up with most of your dicks! no ones perfect... yeah hes done wrong! fair doos! but are any of you true VR fans..hmm, i think not! i actually want to go to see them in march!! and anyone whos actually followed the history of rock music knows that the best musicians have there share of fucking problems, for some reason thats what seems to inspire them to be creative.its fucked up but it works! its the lifestyle of the band that gives them thier charater. what do you lot want them to be like? attending tea parties and weekend hiking trips?? its rock and roll!! take away that and you will be left with one boring fucking band! p.s. yes it will be annoying if the shows are cancelled but i have my tickets and will take the risk. scott weiland is a top artist with a huge backlog of great songs!! fuck you goody two shoe pricks, you all sound like you have never done a thing wrong in your life!

Dunno

I used to drive under the influence of everything years ago when I was like 17 but grew up! He's old enough to realise the damage it can do. I don't understand it when celebrities drive around in states like that; surely they can afford to hire someone to drive them around everywhere? I'm not saying he deserves it because he obviously has a problem but it was a bit of a fuckin stupid thing to do.
