Trivium start work on new album

Trivium have revealed they will be spending the first part of next year knuckling down to work on material for their upcoming new album.

"We'll be off the road for roughly six months writing and recording our third release," said frontman Matt Heafy. "We're looking forward to some downtime. Fuck yeah!"

The band have reportedly demoed eight full-length songs for the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2006’s The Crusade. The band’s new album will be released next autumn through Roadrunner.

HARDCORE VOCALS ARE LAME

MATT'S VOCALS ON THE CRUSADE ARE MUCH BETTER THAN THE STYLE ON THE PREVIUOUS ONE. THERE ARE SO MANY HALF ASSED BANDS THAT USE HARDCORE VOCALS SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CAN'T SING FOR REAL, PLUS THAT SOUNDS LIKE ANY OTHER BAND.
IN THE CRUSADE HIS VOICE HAS CERTAIN SIMILARITIES WITH CHUCK BILLY AND HETFIELD, BUT IT'S CERTAINLY NOT A RIP OFF, IT HAS IT'S OWN THING GOING.
PERSONALLY I THINK CHANGING WAS A GREAT DECISION. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE CHILDREN OF BODOM DO A SIMILAR CHANGE BEACUSE THEIR MUSIC IS AWESOME BUT, ALEXI'S VOCAL SUCK HAIRY ASS.

Sweet can't wait - although I hope it's better than The Crusade, cos I mean it was good, but it wasn't as GREAT as Ascendancy! :D

cool but

i like trivium a lot but heafy shud stop be hetfield it just doesn't work, fair enough for trying different things but people will just get fed up of trying to be metallica (mainly because of heafy's vocals)

...their albums are really good and all coz they're really catchy and technically awesome but heafy does have to decide what he wants to sing like...

just no more blatent metallica rip off plz...especially if they want to be as big as them because everybody would just seem them as metallica wanna bes

Goddammit Trivium, please let the rest of us know that the crusade was just a little blip because that was a shite record and even the mighty K! criticised it whilst reviewing devildrivers latest offering by saying it was a 'half arsed ejaculation' and i fucking agree with that.

So come on lads
Release a metal record we can all be proud of!

I like trivium a lot, i have nearly all of they're merchandise (even the bag) and i think that the cd's are amazing, so i really cannot wait to see the new album out, I want to stroke Travis because he's a beast! (^_^)

TRIVIUM RULE

All three albums been released previously by trivium are GENIUS!! I am so excited to hear some new material, they were absolutely AWESOME on Hammersmith back in April and Just as good in the Black crusade in November with Machine head!!! Cant WAIT!! YAY MATT HEAFY RULES!
