Jared on being voted K!'s sexiest female

The results of the 2007 Kerrang! Readers' Poll hit the shelves today, and, as we reported yesterday, the K! judges had to disqualify My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and 30 Seconds To Mars vocalist Jared Leto from the much coveted Sexiest Female Of 2007 gong on account of them being, well male.

Anyway, Jared Leto has just e-mailed K! to say he finds the whole thing extremely funny.

"That's fucking hilarious!," writes Leto. "Maybe next year you guys can make an exception for Gerard and I?"

Leto, who came third in the Hero Of The Year category and first in the Villain Of The Year category, while his band came third in both the Best Band of 07 and Worst band of 07 categories and first in Best Video Of The Year and Best Single Of The Year categories (both for The Kill) also wishes everyone who voted all the best for the new year.

"I hope all the Kerrang! readers are great and please send them a warm happy X-Mas, boxing day, and merry kwanza from the band."

If your saying he's better than My Chemical Romance in looks then yeah sure!, but personality wise, they're just an overrated band! They've made two albums and both of them were flukes! They really didn't bring their best! All I saw was the "From Yesterday" video like it was funded by Hollywood and that's it, no one gave it a second chance! Think about it, after two albums they still haven't had the success they're looking for! Letto's band mates carry themselves like a couple of zombies and they don't even bring in the fun loving, desire and passion that successful bands have! It won't take very long before they all know that they're not even in the game!

Yeah...

Well I notice Gerard Way didn't comment about it. Probably because he's a knob end. Jared is either laughing it off and felt offended or actually has a sense of humour. I'm not a 30stm fan as such but I'm leaning towards humour. At least he doesn't say the genre that his band blatently is is shit. "Emo is a pile of shit" -Gerard Way. Well I'm no record salesman but that doesn't sound like a fantastic way to sell your band to be honest...

And i don't think MCR are in an emo genre. it gave a guide to emo not long ago in K! it's all jimmy eat world and ballad-like bands.

Kerrang! Readers' Poll 2007

WOW! Just WOW!
I have just bought my copy of this weeks' Kerrang! mag (issue 1189) & I cannot believe some of the votes this year!!
Some where totally expected - 'Best Thing About 2007', 'Best & Worst Bands' but 'Sexiest Male' & 'Hero of the Year' going to Ville Valo?!?! You have got to be shitting me!!!!! I have nothing against the guy, but how the fuck did he win??? I salute him for kicking the drink, but even so man, it just doesn't seem right. I'm glad "Heroes" & "Transformers" came on top too! Oh, and I love the MCR pic & the HUGE Gerard & Mickey poster - very cool!!

30 seconds and MCR aren't that mainstream... I went ice skating a few weeks back, and i requested anything by; 30seconds, mcr, billy talent, lostprophets, bullet, ANYTHING! and the only song they had was teenagers, it's okay, but it's the only one the chavs like. They were playing soulja boy, cascada, ect.

And what the fucks wrong with being mainstream? Sometimes it's good, not always, but sometimes.

Nothing To Do With This Really

Okay, this actually has nothing to do with the subject at hand but I'd just like to point something out that I know many people are to self absorbed to realise.
Alot of people complain that 30 or MCR fans are only fans because they think Jared and Gerard are hot, and that these people are not real fans...however, isn't it possible that the people attracted to these men are that way because they enjoy their music and respect and admire them.
For instance, I loved 30's music when I heard it however due to this admiration for their music I have found myself thinking Jared is HOT!
And I know alot of other people will agree with me, and will admit that they liked a band for their music and then found themselves attracted to one of the members.
So, in conclusion all those people who are complaining about 'fangirls', just remember that alot of these girls would like the music before the man!

jared leto is the most beautiful human being on the planet. and in conclusion i totally agree with the posted comment above, when i first saw the kill video that was the first time d herad of 30stm, at first i just really liked the song but now as time past i have now got a totally unhealthy obsession with jared leto, not because he is the most handsomest guy in the world, but he really has a beautiful voice, he's intelligent, i love their music and the lyrics, and he is such a nice guy, if u go on you tube and check out their funny moments really it would convert anyone into liking 30tm/jared leto, but i do't just like the band because of him i generally do really love their music and I love the whole band i think they work together really well

Jared leto is really hot, I saw them on them on the 28th of jan at manchester academy, it was absoultely amazing, they were fantastic, and I was really quite close to the front, not barrier front. and I actually got to meet the band afterwards cause they said that they were doin signings atfer the show for anyone that wanted one, and they signed my wrist band/hoodie, tomo slapped me on the hip with my own wrist band and jared called me sweetheart, I actually nearlt clapsed. can't wait to see them next year or whenever, can't wait for their new album. and check out the beautiful lie music video on Buzznet.com it;s so cool and different. echelon 4ever, love 30stm and jared no one could love you as much as I do really u r the best, the most stunning/beautiful/intelligent/funny guy that was ever born.

If you look at certain pictures of Gerard in certain angles, the guy looks strangly feminime. He is a hot guy, but idk if he's a hot girl -- I'm straight. He did dress in drag to go to art school, I would have loved to see that, he probably pulled it off.
