Speculation that Led Zeppelin will tour next year is mounting after The Cult frontman Ian Astbury hinted at a recent show in the US that his band will be supporting the classic British rockers on their 2008 world tour.
This past Saturday (November 17), Astbury told fans in Cincinnati: "We'll be back next year because we're opening for a band you may have heard of ... The name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it."
While both representatives of Led Zeppelin and The Cult declined to comment, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page told Reuters news agency: "It would be silly not to do more shows, but let's just do the O2 and we'll see what happens from there. I haven't got a crystal ball here and nor have you."
Led Zeppelin will play London's O2 arena on December 10.
