If you dont like the black crusade, why are listen to kerrang radio? All the bands you like are the "pretty boys" I like my metal loud and proud, so bands like Machine Head, Slipknot actually play metal music, not this sickening dumbing down of metal/pop. I dont care what the band looks like I care weather the music speaks to my soul, and the heavyer and louder it is the more my soul starts singing. The only exception to my rule is American pop/punk BFS, Green Day etc not bad for dancing around the house! And leave Serge alone he is a voice metal that is very much needed as without him we would be come lazy in our thoughts so we need him to keep us thinking. Just because you wear black eyeliner and a studded belt doesnt make you a metal head. From Scary Mary the secret Goth!

Oh, and I love the calendar idea, but every year I'm bitterly disappointed with the pictures. Who wants a revolting photo of the crab-infested Trivium, and for a whole month as well?!
I also dont want to see Bowling For Soup, SERJ TANKIEN, Bullet for my Valentine, Machine Head, Evanessence, Slayer, or anyone else ugly. (Ok Rob Flynn isnt ugly, but his band are). You might think Machine Head are a great band, but face it, the calendar doesn't sing or play music, and being purely aesthetic there should be standard of attractiveness that MUST be met. A high one.
I suggest... Panic, FOB, Taking Back Sunday, MCR, The Academy Is, Lostprophets, Brand New, The Used, Saosin, Aiden... hell even The Audition would be ok. I cant believe they havent been in Kerrang for at least...what... 3 issues?
Oh, and NO Madina Lake calendar pics, i'm sorry, they make me feel a bit sick... :S

MSI are a good band and have been for years but why is it that because Lindsey married Gee that people are acknowledging them it's fucking ridiculous they are so good.It's all about My Fucking Chemical Romance AGAIN!!! get over them they're not as good as people hype them up to be!! ¬.¬
i agree mcr are very overated, if anything, the first album was the better of the rest and even then it was medioka and i got very bored.
i saw msi a few weeks back at manchester and they were awesome, we need more bands like them, ive never been to a gig where the atmosphere has been amazing and all people were interested in was having a good time!!!!
i luv msi but i only heard about them cos of linsey. who cares to be honest any publicity is gd. spread the word. i do! everyone @ my skool goes "who? i've never heard of the." and im lyk yeah thats the hole point. they rock im spreading the word! i luv Little Jimmy Urine but i h8 linsey cos she took gerard. not fair. mcr rock so dont u go slagging them off evil person! the sheffield concert with MSI and MCR was awsome. i dont think many concerts could beat it!

Haha, fuckin hell, the person who said that the bands on the calendar better be "good bands" and then listed a whole load of shit pop groups actually just made me laugh out loud! As did the person earlier who said that she hoped that only "good-looking" bands made it on and then included shit like MCR and P!ATD in that list of crap music! for fucks sake, music isnt about what someone's hair looks like its about how awesome their music is and anyone who doesnt agree with tht sentiment can fuck right off cos they dont have a fucking clue about what music really means! peace out to anyone who went to black crusade, tried to get a ticket but too late sadly :( am going to BMTH and FfaF next week tho so all is good :) and liking the look of this issue, lots of kickass bands and little in the way of pop bollocks

I was at The Black Crusade in Manchester last week. Front row motherfuckers. What a fucking amazing night! Trivium were mindblowing, Corey was looking hot as hell. Machine Head were immense. Dragonforce were a right laugh. The other two were good but I was there for those three.
Oh and one complaint about your calendar - that isn't about the shit pictures. Where the fuck is The Rev from A7X's birthday? You've got all the other members in there but his is missing. February 10th 1981 - The Reverend Tholomew Plague.
And to the guy above, fuck off! Metalheads are real music fans. You don't even know who Kurt Cobain is. You don't really have the right to comment on our opinions.

Not a mention of Rush, Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Yes, or any of the other significant prog bands!
Dark Side of the Moon not present in the essential albums!?
And Tool's Lateralus album was far more significant to prog than AEnima!

Can't believe I and some of my friends have missed out with their tours...boo-hoo :(, oh well, i guess we will have to wait to another release of their album. Another note glad people are finding out they are not mimicking evanescence as they have been out longer than them :) Doesnt mean i don't like evanescence.

Within Temptation
I discovered them a few years back, around The Silent Force era...How can people say they are like Evanescence?!
I mean, I love Evanescence, I have every album from Origin to The Open Door...but they are not alike at all!
For a start, Within Temptation have always been better - musicly, originallity and meaninfully. Moreover, no offence to Amy Lee...but she is not that good live in comparison to Sharon Den Adel!
They played quite a lot of old stuff there too! Which was good as there older work is some of their best!

Just read your comment 'A Goth' and i totally agree, i just find annoying and just plain insane when i hear people say they mimick Evanescence. They are nothing a like. Sharon den Adel voice is so beautiful, the lyrics are so deep and more meaninful. As for the whole live thing, not sure cause i ant seen neither of them live :( but i've hear that same rumor. But anywhere totally agree with you there.

Also, i think Within Temptation should get more credit for what they have achieved. I disagree with some comments that they have sold out, even in the UK they are not well heard in the mainstream pop world which is sad cause i think they are vocally, lyrically and emotionally better than evanescence.
Within Temptation I find more moving and its right from the heart, evanescence are good but compare to Within Temptation they are just meir ametures compared to them.

I dont understand, and wont comprehend that they are sell outs! They are REALLY original!
They havnt changed! They developed, and if they are sell-outs, why did they play "The Other Half (of me)" live? Its a REALLY old song!
Within Temptation are amazing, alike Epica, Sirenia, Theatre of Tragedy, Leave's Eyes (ish) and Delain. Nightwish used to be good...although there album is still not bad...
Oh, and Tarjas album a few weeks back should have at least 4 K's!

Great issue this week.
Slight error in the calendar, for december 'Ac/dc' is writen as 'Ad/dc'. Made me laugh a bit tbh.
However I love the rest of the calendar, 30 seconds to mars look fit as ever :P
