Just a small complaint. Much as i appreciate the AFI poster (Kerrang! 1184)... Why do you then have to take the piss out of Davey in a picture caption on an Avenged Sevenfold article. Ususally.. fine. But you've just given my best mates reason to say 'Sevenfold are better than AFI' for the rest of our lives. YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKERS.

Elliot Minor Gig Review
The Elliot Minor gig review was very unfair. I have seen them live 5 times now and they have always been great. Their songs are all written by them and the lyrics actually mean something. Ive met them and they are a really cool group of guys.
Theyve worked really hard to get where they are and deserve lots of credit for it!

Elliot minor Reveiw & Ryan Bird
I am disgusted and appauled that one of kerrangs writers could be so down right rude hurtful and disgusting the way Ryan Bird treated Elliot minor in the lastes issue of kerrang mag there was no need for any of it...
I know the guys and they write all their own material and are one of the best up and comming bands of the time. There gigs are fantastic and he knows nothing of what he babbles about
I personally would like to see him get a reprimand or even better the sack as he is a complete ass and does not deserve to be in the job hers in.
Please Please kerrang do some thing about this waste of space you have writing articals for your mag.

Kerrang Magazine
kerrang magazine has become worse and worse each time I pick it up in a shop to flick through, not enough metal is reviewed, all too much 'emo' and indie these days and popular bands. Kerrang used to have a good mix of metal and rock and now it seems to just go where the money is to sell its magazines, instead of doing it for the fans. Kerrang should go back to the days where it was just and reviewed different things. Also remember that magazines have their own opinion which they are entitled too and if people do not agree then its what people in the real world call differences where they get over them and let it go not asking for someone to be sacked.

I am so annoyed at what Ryan Bird has written about Elliot Minor in this weeks Kerrang!
Yeah he's entitled to his own opinion but he hardly talked about their music and attacked Elliot Minor as people AND he attacked their fans which is just so low and pathetic.
How dare he say that if a rock band has female fans it's not a rock band! So are all the classic rock bands like Guns N Roses and Black Sabbath not actually rock bands because they have female fans? No, Ryan Bird is talking out of his behind.
And to say that they don't write their own songs!! Of course they write their own songs, who does he think writes them, the magic song fairy? He should go and get his facts right, they write all of their own songs and they're damn good as well.
Elliot Minor are such an amazing band, they're such nice, down to earth guys and their shows are absolutley amazing! And they deserve so much better than this.

The review was slander against the band members and the fans. He's allowed to dislike the band, but everything was too personally directed. Oh and the female fans thing? Sexist much? I'd go far enough to say he was discriminating women.

Ryan Bird better watch out, because a load of angry Elliot Minor fans [both female AND male, may I add] will be storming up to the Kerrang headquarters pretty soon, because that wasn't an honest review, that was downright offensive.
First of all, he's sexist to even suggest that Elliot Minor can't be a real rock band because they have female fans. Aren't girls allowed to like rock music now? They are also one of the few bands who actually make time for their fans, giving them one of the strongest fanbases I've seen for a while, just take a look at their myspace.
And not only was he extremely offensive to his female fans in particular, he made personal slights on the band themselves. He practically accused them of plagerism! Their lyrics come from the heart, and the result is pretty damn amazing. I can only suggest that he was at a whole different gig.
Ryan Bird obviously couldn't see real talent if it came up and poked him in the eyes.

i have been to atleast 2gigs and they have been PERFECT tbh, just a minor mistake at the london gig, like the mic not working or something and you say their crap basically, you need to buck your ideas up mate.
and saying you dont think they write their own stuff, well thats where your REALLY wrong, i know for a fact they dont steal other peoples ideas, their music is ALL their own. Their music is like nothing ive heard before.
ive benn reading what people say about madina lake mcr and 30stm, everyones heard all thier stories now(well i have).
at times i wounder how you guys come out with new stuff every week about the same bands.
i love the way you manage to cover new up rising bands that hopefully are the next big things
nearly every week i find a new band out of your magazine that i like
and if you dont mine me saying kerrang you should keep it that way, giving us a chance to hear about other bands
every band should have an equal chance of getting heard of rather than every week a magazine full of mcr 30stm or some other popular band
ps i would like to say i think those bands are good but id prefer to hear new stuff now

How can he have been alloud to publish it??? All he has done is slated the guys!!! That was no review he did! You can't even call it constructive criticism!
He has no idea what hard work those guys put into their music! Their entire heart and soul goes in there! Everything Alex and Ed have ever written has always been their own stuff! Their music is inspirational to alot of us and they are the most unique band I've come across!! Ryan should come to more gigs just to prove himself wrong about these guys!! He obviously blanked out the fact that there's always a good mixture of both male and female fans at Elliot Minor gigs!! Their gigs are never scripted! All they do is have fun and have a laugh with the fans!!
Ryan should also do more research when reviewing a band!!! What makes him suspicious of their lyrics?? And why should they be classed as pop when they clearly aren't and no way are they a manufactured band!! Seriously Ryan, get your facts straight!!

amaze! elliot minor never fail to impress! they're catchy, symphnic tunes ecoed round the sold-out venue!!! the only bad point- poor alex davies' guitar broke during his solo in PARRALLEL WORLDS!!!
they are an awesome band, and an amazing bunch of guys!!! They'r so funny, and smell good to =]
and as for "whether their music is their own" or not- HE CAN SHOVE IT UP HIS ASS!!! he's just some sad-sap-failed-rockstar!!!

Whoa! Great article on emo! More people need to understand that emo is a great genre of music with some great bands (and no, not bands like MCR or Fall Out Boy, they are NOT emo!!) and not some huge cult of wrist-slitters like the pricks at the Daily Mail say!
Im sick of hearing these sterotypes. I know we'll never get rid of them but people need to educate themselfs to the specific genres ect before commenting.

anyway, more hardcore/punk-rock/post-hardocre bands in this mag! which ahs reduced its number of pages only to be filled with either screamo shit bands like BMTH (a music and fashion diaster) or FOB/MCR crazed fans and their 14 year old followers, NOTE: the black parade isnt their only or best ablum

Well its about time Dillinger Escape Plan got some decent coverage as its been way overdue so its more relief then anything else. The criminally underrated Miss Machine is such a good record and definatley needed more notice then it actually got given, same goes for the stuff they did with Patton and Calculating Infinity.
There music is challenging and actually trying to break the boundries of music unlike bands such as Madina Lake, Paramore, Fall Out Boy and so forth who seem to be in a comfort zone of playing average music that the mainstream can lap up until the fad fades off and no one cares and then they'll no doubt break up, its like Nu-Metal all over again to be quite honest.
Fuckin aye, I have been down with DEP since the dawn of ages, well actually for like a good long while,i think since 2000, and to be quite honest with you it took myself two years to truely get into that cd and ever since then dillinger kills. I love the stuff they did with Patton because he is nuts. I hate when people proclaim Dave Grohl as god for the shear fact he can play more than one tool, for christ sake Mike Patton has completely revolutionized vocals for years, and i do mean years to come, and if you want to argue, this mother fucker can do it all, if you think otherwise, then you are the dumbest shit ever. Mike Patton is too picky as it is, so joining with DEP for that short time was only for the better. And i have to say Greg Puciato does well with the former vocalist Dimitri and Patton's stuff. As for Ire Works, i dunno, i need to really take it in, it almost sounds like and EP with 4 insteramental tracks. It will be a good cd dont you worry

If you like Drum n Bass OR metal then check out Shellshock, HEAVY music, fast lyrics mixed up with crazy sounds and awesome growling. Truely a great band. shellshock.tv =) << now thats who they should have in Kerrang!

i have listened to them and can recognise any song of theirs cos THEY ALL SOUND THE FUCKING SAME!
their songs would be alright, but they are repeated over and over and they sound the same. they get too much coverage as it is already dont debate for more....

MCR !!!! the best gig EVER. brilliant music and great pyros /light show. Highlights of the night were "mama" and "cancer" . Low point was the band Mindless Self Indulgence , if ever a band lived up to their name it's them. only band in the world that needs a proctologist to find what little talent they have (sorry Gerard ,but they SUCK!!!)

I just want to say i went to see MCR yest and it was the best gig of my life!! it was so amaze spesh when he got all the guys to take there tops off! there all amaze guys! MSI supported and altho im not a huge fan ATOL i met them and there very nice people! BLACK CRUSADE NEXT WEEK WOO!!!!!! and i agree with the comment above! they are pointless but if u didnt meet them i think there nice people! Highlights erm..Mama and im not okay :D xx

i went to see MCR on sunday in newcastle and i must say it was the best gig i have ever been to. I was also surprised by MSI ,little jimmy knows how to entertain a crowd. I went into that stadium a MSI hater and left as a fan! and i got to meet Steve Righ? he was really nice even though he was pissed. Gerard way sang his heart out letting the crowd hear a couple new songs and they sound amazzzzing. So cant wait for there new album! Can you please put in a big poster of gee and one of MSI! thanks

I was at the Astoria 2 gig and it was brill! There is NO reason for 'Ryan Bird' to have written all that shit about them, everyone knows that they write their own songs, wat a nob! I cant believe hed say stuff bout girls likeing them i mean... WTF has that got anything to do with if they are rock or not, guys like them too and it dont even matter if girls like them... they just too sexy!
Im never wasting money on that piece of crap mag anymore!

im a little upset. last night i pulled this out to look at Lyn Z and i accidentaly ripped the top of her head off. v distressing. i think there needs to be a full poster of all four members of MSI and less focus on Mrs G Way, shes not the only one. shes the hottest one. but not the only one. plzz
