Foo Fighters to headline Wembley!

After finishing their UK arena tour with two sold-out nights at the O2 Arena this past weekend, the Foo Fighters will return to the UK next June to headline Wembley Stadium.

The Foos will play Wembley on Saturday June 7 2008. Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday November 23 at 10AM on www.aloud.com/holding/foo_fighters_nov07.shtml.

For an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Foos’ recent UK tour, pick up a copy of this Wednesday’s Kerrang! magazine.

Awesome!

Can't wait!

the beast behind the Nirvana Skins has finally made it!!!

Should bringout Krist Novoselic for a track or two, cause everyone knows that Nirvana could have played there by now!

Foo's at Wembley

My oh my wouldn't that be interesting.

Someone's posted up about bringing out Krist Noveselic for one or two tracks.

Maybe a guest vocalist could come in and Dave could get behind the drums for one or two songs?

It would make rock and roll history.

But to do that you'd have to find some really decent vocalists who are truly worthy of covering Kurt.

But Foo's doing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" at Wembley to 90,000 people or "Come as you are" would be outstanding.

Even if they didn't have a vocalist and Dave Grohl did it it'd be amazing.

Make Nate sit it out and bring Krist in whilst Dave does one or two tracks.

It would be pant wettingly good.

I think Kerrang should call up Dave and put the idea to him.

If Zeppelin can do a comeback gig than Dave surely can manage one or two Nirvana songs?

Just in response to getting someone to cover Kurt..... i don`t think anyone is or will ever be worthy, but, check out some of the Nirvana covers that SEETHER have done. Vids on youtube. Shaun Morgan is pretty damn close!!!

No need for a guest vocalist: Taylor Hawkins would be great filling in for Kurt... and now they've even got Pat Smear back, so they really could have as full a Nirvana reunion as is possible!

NO NO NO

Why cant people let Nirvana die? Yes they were a great band, and yes they made some great music. But i dont understand why Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters playing wembley for two nights has anything at all to do with Nirvana. Im going to see the Foo's play at wembley. If i want them to bring a special guest on, I want it to be someone like Josh Homme from QOTSA, or Lemmy from Motorhead to do a Probot track, Or ultimately, Brian May and Roger Taylor again. No one wants to see Krist come out. Its dead, he's letting it lie, why cant everybody else. It's gonna be a great night, But its gonna be for Dave, Nate, Chris and Taylor. I wont be giving Kurt Cobain a single thought on the evening. Until they play Let it Die of the new album. Maybe People posting about The foo fighters doing Nirvana tracks should do the same? "Let it Die"

The foo's still rock, But lets be honest they are a middle of the road type band now. They should play more songs from the first two albums.

foos june 6

Foo Fighters/radio 1 concert June 6TH
its a diffiucult one this,
cant fault the concert at all the music was great the light show was amazing, dave and the boys delivered a blindin gig.
except for the quarter of the audience that were sat at the arse end of the stadium. only once in the whole show were we actually given a show. the revolving stage by-passed us for most of the show. even when dave was on his travels around the stage he seemed to not notice the thousands of peolpe sitting here.
i dont want to moan, but if you doing a concert in the round, make sure you perform to the whole audience not just the ones that are around the good side of the stage. you should have had the stage in the centre of the stadium and used the revolving part better, if not stick to the stage at one end and punters at the other, i went t the gig you did at the o2 and to be honest it was a better show, we could actually see you there!!
we paid as much money for these seats as the rest of the seated crowd did but we got one song and some background music, might have well have waited for the DVD to come out!
sorry guys but i think you should hae charged less for these seats because we only got a sideshow!
