Coheed And Cambria will be headlining next year's Kerrang! tour which kicks off on January 23 2008.
The New York prog-rock masters - who have just released their amazing album No World For Tomorrow - will be joined for the 13-date UK tour by pop-punk heroes Madina Lake, Brit rock superstars Fightstar and promising newcomers Circa Survive.
"We are very excited," Coheed And Cambria vocalist Claudio Sanchez tells Kerrang!. "The UK has always been very good to us. We've come over a few times and, like in the States, the audience has kind of progressed and grown, so I have high hopes.
"I am looking forward to playing the new material too," he adds. "We've been playing what we've got for so long now, and also with the new line-up it's nice to visit some of the older songs that we haven't played in a while, and those songs will appear new to us. Right now, it's a great time to be in Coheed And Cambria and everybody's very positive and excited!"
"We are just thrilled beyond belief," says Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone, on being told the Chicago four-piece are part of the K! line-up. "Kerrang! has been extremely responsible for our success over in the UK and we have been fans of the magazine for our entire lives, since we were kids, so it is flattering and humbling, and we are ecstatic. Thank you!"
Fightstar are also chuffed to be part of the 2008 touring clan.
"It's awesome!," gushed frontman Charlie Simpson. "I think it's going to be really good fun. I am a big fan of Coheed, Madina Lake are awesome, and I really like Circa Survive's record - I'm really pleased with the line-up! Hopefully these shows will open us up to a new audience too - and we get to play Brixton - that's a massive thing for me because I have always wanted to play there! I'm so excited about it!"
"It feels pretty damn awesome," adds Circa Survive bassist Nick Beard. "We haven't really toured as much as we would like to in the UK yet, so hopefully this will help bring us back more often!"
"I can't wait," agrees the band's vocalist Anthony Green. "The last time we played the UK was the best bunch of shows we've played in a long time. The crowds are so into the show and open-minded. It's refreshing."
