Dir en grey release their new single Dozing Green on Monday, October 29 and we at K! Dot com have got the exclusive sneak peak of the accompanying video.

The J-Rockers will be on tour in the UK in November, including a headline set at the Fuse07 gaming event at London's Shepherds Bush Empire.

Truly amazing! Dir en grey have changed their sound many times but I'm never disappointed. I'm so happy that they still sound as unique as they always have but as they progress their music is progressing too.

I cannot wait to buy this, or to see them again!

Slower than i like, but very creepy!

I was one of the few lucky enough to attend Diru's performance in the Filmore theater here in San Francisco earlier this year, and i have to say, these guys put out a great show and deserve the respect of their fans!

I'm happy.... I have nothing bad to say about this song. There are so many elements in it that make me all squishy happy inside and of course I feel the emotions of sorrow and frustration from the video it's really good. I haven't been this happy about a dir en grey single since Embryo.... (i've liked their other singles just not as excited about them as this one).

too american? Wtf? There is only four English words in the entire song and this is the closest they've sounded to their old style since WTD.
And, sucks for you if you prefer Macabre and Gauze over Vulgar and Withering to death because they will never go back to that sound, and if they ever did I would be disappointed.
Yes, the Kisou-Vulgar era was them at their prime, but that doesn't detract from the fact they are making damn good music now.

The song has it's flaws, but all in all, flaws accounted for, it's a good song and I love it.

Hydra 666 is TEH SHITZ though. 666 > Dozing green.

I love how the band has progressed. Each of Diru's CD's is different from the other. They're getting so good. I really enjoyed the song, but I didn't find it as mind blowing as I had hoped. However, I'm excited to see what they'll do next :)

OK. I thought the wait being over for The actual single to arrive at my door was fantastic... but this? This is AMAZING. I love these guys so much, no matter what they produce, it always turns out well. Who cares if they are starting to turn out sounding western... they can do what the fuck they like for me. Their taste in music is the best... because they produce the best music for Diru fans. Their Own.

On the fence

I like Dir en grey as much as the next person, (just for you, William Murderface, it's been about 8 years for me) but I'm not sure I like this song. It doesn't grab at me like Kodou or Red[em] or plenty of others do... The video is nice, if not a bit like some old Tool videos in parts. As for everyone saying they 'look too American'... what's wrong with that? There are plenty of good American bands out there. Besides, like someone said, they are Japanese at the end of the day. If Dir en grey decides to change their style to something you think is too American, guess what... deal with it.

I'll look forward to the cd and a new US tour, regardless :)

I like it!

This song is GOOD! Though it seems slow-paced and sad at first, it's also full of tension which leads you up to the powerful, crazy ending...awesome.

I kind of wonder about what the lyrics are...because I get the feeling for this song (and video) they are a bit important...so I'm interested in finding the lyrics or getting the translation..

Is it an anti-war statement? I noticed a Chinook, explosions, military, a diseased body?
And people dismembering themselves...

This isn't the most powerful song I've heard from Diru but it is deffinitely good. The video was interesting, and I like the stop motion dolls. Dir En Grey has done a lot in their time and I am excited to see the new direction they are taking their music. I look forward to seeing what else they will do.

im very dissapointed i used to really like these guys untill kyo started screaming like a bitch in every song. This song sounds very unorganized they need to go back to the sound of there old albums cause from the beginning up to withering to death were good and like 2 songs off the new album were good. so they need to progress better musically and make songs that drag you into them

amazing they rocked it out. i heard the single but the vid. adds that much more. Thats why they're my favorite band. next tour in america im definatly going if you guys come to michigan.

I dont think theyre too americanized they're all almost thirty i think its time to let go of visual kei,besides, they may be getting americanized but maybe we turned a little too much into japanese culture. :/ think about it.

After watching this video several times, and memorizing it as much as I could, I was finally able to calm down enough to comment.

I didn't think I would be this excited over Dozing Green, but Dir en Grey has once again proved me wrong. I know some who say that it doesn't break the barriers that we all know Diru can, but at this point, I don't care what they think. All I know is that it is another fabulous song that all fans everywhere can now start to add to their favorites.

darn i relly had high hopes......

no energy in this one at all i kept waiting for that moment when the music bursts out into energy and they relly rock. this had no rythem at all. the video in the backround was blurry and made klittle sense.... hopefully they will improve. and im sorry to all the azz kiss ups who might be mad at this. my fave song is ugly cause that had energy. plus x was right now kyo screams like a fool.

Eh it's okay

It's a good song but it didn't snatch me away. No doubt about it that its good so yeah. Best part about it is the drums go Shinya~. Shinya s kicking some ASSets nowadays. But yeah to me (I repeat TO ME) the song is nothing incredible.

The video is pretty trippy it's cool for a fist time watch. I dont know if there's supposed to be a story or not soooo~~ lol. Best parts I liked of the video were the red screen with them in front and then the war videos *war freak* the rest made me laugh lol.

I am more of a macabre/vulgar/gauze child but not in the visual way (I prefer them to look like MEN even though Shinya's havign a hard time with that lol!) mine is more of the somplistic music style they had and that actually really caught me. I with no doubt like the music now though I just prefer then but the new music rocks~

I ope they dont come till at LEAST Summer 2008 because theyre killing my Olympic traveling savings~!! They need to come to San iego though. I HATE going to LA I think it's one of the most ugliest cties (NOT COUNTY WISE) ever next to New York City but no offense to the people there I have some friends there its just the city that gets me. I've livedin San Diego my whole life and no doubt its a beautiful city so Dir en grey needa come then they need to go to La Jolla Shores <3 ANYWHO~ Yeah Dir en grey rocks~!

the 2000-2004 macabre/kisou/sixugly/vulgar era was, undoubably, their prime-WTD mixed old and new styles well, MOAB was, well, disappointing but fair. Let's just say Dozing is going in the right direction-away from MOAB

Hydra 666 PWNS and is what Fukai was to Kasumi (ie. The B-side that owns the actual single)

Needs to be played at live shows coz it'll kick ass.

it was my first time at a concert
and it blew me fucking away

ive never seen any person on this planet that rocked out as much as Kyo did on stage
he was a fucking master piece
truly one in a million

and when i saw them the second time, me and my friend were right at the front
that was an even better night. it was..GAHHH

I like the video personally. Looked well done and professional. It had almost an..epic feel to it. Not gigantic epic, but epic. Overall, I was pleased..it makes me think if this is gonna be 'The Final' killer.

Obviously not your taste in music and I can respect that, but for you and crappy Kerrang to compare MCR to Dir en grey is an insult to Dir en grey lol.

MCR and Dir en grey are 2 totally different musical styles and Diru is way better than MCR.

Dir en grey kick ass, one of the first bands (D'espairsRay were the first) to get me into Jrock, just hope emo posers who read kerrang don't jump on the Diru bandwagon, that would hurt me.

BTW anyone else here going to the Sheffield (UK) gig on the 14th of November?

I'm not overly impressed by this song, but it is still quite good...I love how Dir en grey changes their sound pretty much from each album to the next...It definitely didn't catch my attention as much as Kodou, Embryo, Yokan, Saku, Merciless Cult, or Obscure but it was still a good song to listen to...The video was better than a lot I've seen, but somewhat mediocre for Dir en grey...oh well they still amaze me in general...I miss their older stuff sometimes, but I do with a lot of bands...I just wish I could see them live : (

americanized?

If anyone would really listen to the song it would be conceivable that the band went back to where they left off with The Final, and added some modern touches moving in much the same direction as MUCC (100% pure Japanese, by Japanese, and for Japanese) aside from their major stylistic differences with the polarity between instrumentals and vocals reversed as per their VK days and staying well away from the sameness of modern VK. Seeing as how any given single by Dir en Grey is typically never indicative of more than say 40% of the album, a lot of you need to open your ears and get off of your Withering to Death and Marrow of the Bone tiffs, because Dir en Grey to my surprise is making a move back to its roots quite rapidly.

I love it as much (or more) than I thought I would. The video has a slightly different feel to their other stuff... which I'd expect, since it's NEW :D I love the imagery, the stop-motion is really freaking cool
It's actually a little calmer than their other recent videos and has a more "open" feel that I really like about it.

oh yeah

another great example of a diru song. It dosnt really matter how long you have been listening to them cuz its just stupid to be arguing over that. And hello! if people dont even know who diru is shouldnt even be trying to watch the videos...lol. but hey this song is friggin awesome!!! the only song i never liked from them was agitated screams of maggots, and this song just plain pawns all. except for obscure...that's the best...lolz

Diru, please put Kisou or Gauze in your 8-track player and remember what you sounded best doing. You got the guitarists matching eachother, Toshi's emulating Fieldy, and Kyo's screeching on every song at anytime he feels appropriate. It sucks, guys. This was the first I've heard the entire song, let alone seen the video... wow. Beautiful, eerie, chilling. The video reminds me vaguely of Zan and Drain Away for whatever reasons.

Gave me goosebumps watching it. Kyo's wailing at the end... wow. And Die's incredibly-fast picking... mezmerizing.

As always. Just breathtakingly beautiful.

And STFU to all the 'americanized' comments. It's f*cking ROCK music, which originated in america. Its ROOTS are american. It's not americanized japanese music, it's japanized american music. Always has been.

One of the greatest things about this band is that they are constantly evolving and changing, they never get in a rut, they never get boring. Their technical skills, the vocals, everything has only gotten stronger with age and experience. Close your eyes and open your ears.

Of course everyone's opinion is valid, and if you don't like it that's fine. But say it isn't your personal taste; don't say it sucks or it's 'americanized', because that just isn't true.

I like the direction they are taking. They way they take hard rock and make it THEIRS.

WOW! Its soo amazing I love how he screams REALLY high pitched and how it end with kyo sining softly and those screens have this light flickering light on them and it slowly goes out.......*gasps*WOO! I could just dance on this one! These kids are truly talented at what they do! YAY!

By the way, Dir en Grey needs to come to Lubbock, Texas sometime. I have no way to get to Dallas or San Antonio...just a little closer will do. *dances*

I got the poster and a sticker that came with the single I purchased from CD Japan... it was pretty cool. CD Japan even sent the single out like 3 or 4 days early. Even better than the album art and design, the best part has to be the Song Dozing Green although Hyrda -666- has been playing just as much lol. The PV is awesome too. *in heaven*

My case is slightly defective though because I had to keep it under a book for like two days to get my case to stay closed. XD
