What ever happened to Limp Bizkit?

Nu-metal buffoons Limp Bizkit have been missing in action since their sixth studio album, The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1), spectacularly flopped in 2005. Since then it's been all-quiet on the Bizkit front; even the band's megalomaniacal frontman Fred Durst has managed to keep a low profile.

And here's probably why:

Reports have just emerged that Durst was arrested in October 2006 following a car accident where he hit two LA residents with his vehicle.

According to documents obtained by CelebTV.com, Durst had to pay almost $1,500 in fines and penalties and not use or possess "dangerous or deadly weapons" or "threaten the use of force or violence against any person".

Hopefully this'll mean that Durst has to remain on his best behaviour and The Unquestionable Truth (Part 2) won't be hitting shelves any time soon!

Why would you hope for a band to not release an album? That's just moronic, no-one is forcing you to buy it.

Why was he fined for possessing "dangerous and deadly weapons" and "threatening violence" when you reported that he accidentally hit two people with his car? That makes no sense.

He's kept a low profile to pursue an acting career, I doubt it's because of this minor incident.

They've released five albums by the way, not six.

Kerrang are so shit. Wes Borland has quit the band and has got his own band coming out, and Fred is directing movies etc. Fred has said Limp will return to the big time but not until the time is right, whatever that means, probably not unless he can persuade Wes to rejoin again, this has been known for months!

Would be great if they did do a new album and got as big as they were again, but only if they went back to their roots, the last couple of albums were pants.

Bizkit? A benchmark for nu-metal? Snap out of it, Bizkit are a are benchmark for utter shite, nothing more. If anything is a benchmark for nu-metal it's Korns first album or 'around the fur'.

I don't care what everyone is saying about how Limp Bizkit are bad, they really aren't. For a Funk Drummer, a clearly Crack Head Guitarist and, well, Fred Durst to make that much money from so called 'crap' music, they must be doing something right.

Limp Bizkit deffo have it within themselfs to create an awsome album, its such a shame it hasnt happened for a while! oh and Kerrang sucks D*** up until 2 years ago i bought the mags and watched the channel but its turned into complete rubbish.

GOD KERRANG'S WEBSITE IS SO FUCKING DUMB.

How did the album flop, when it sold 1 million copies without any promotion/tour? That's still a large amount of copies.

And if they actually did research they'd know that Fred posted images of the band in the studio and a video of some drum tracking taking place in June.

Fair enough limpbizkit havent produced anything groundbreaking since significant other. But magazines piss me off esp this shitty teeny bopping one when they dont give credit to where it is due. Whenever there is an article about bands like limpbizkit nowadays they slag them off somethin rotten, where as if im not mistaken a few years ago kerrang would have done anything to have limpbizkit appear in their mag.
Dont go back on ur words cos it shows it doesnt take talent to write for a magazine like this. Limpbizkit should be given credit for what they acheived back in the day, yes their best days have gone but it doesnt mean they have been crap from the beggining, get a grip kerrang and write about some proper bands.
You do this all the time, you have only changed your tune about KOrn a few months ago, before that you ripped it out of them, for no reason! and you do it to Limpbizkit now. Why not Linkin Park hey?? why not RHCP? cos they have all done the same released good early albums and then released a load of balls but yet they still are given credit, why arent limp???
