Congratulations Gerard and LynZ,I wish you all the happiness in the world.
Being in the public eye makes life more difficult for celebs,this is unwanted added pressure for them.No wonder couples in the spotlight don't last as long in relationships.I don't think Gerard and Lynz would appreciate people commenting on how long they will last,it's not very fair to them!

buti think the issie is that it seemed really impulsive and it was like a month after theother engagement was called off

so yes most people including myself dont think it'l last...but you never know.

and yeah i agree those people who are still like omg i love him he brokw my heart etc etc are really ott and annoying.

I think it will last like Marylin Mansons for a bit but then they will split because lets face it MSI and MCR are completely different bands with completely different styles so this is just a case of opposites attracting but it wont last long!

arg! its so upsetting when people slate guys like gerard for doing whatever they want to do! i love mcr, they are my favorite band and gerard is legend! if marrying linZ makes him happy then that's what he ought to do, even if it does all go wrong, then at least it was his mistake that he made by himself like any other grown-up etc etc. i do think he rushed into it and who knows, it could be the biggest mistake ever, but when it comes down to it, that's gerard's problem... not ours. lets just love him, love the band, and let them get on with it!

I think it will last pretty long. LynZ and Gerard both went to art school, and both are a musician, now. They are both equally amazing, and I don't know why, but I think they are perfect for each other.

Congrats to them, though. I hope it does last. I like seeing Gerard happy! :]

Wow. This was so unexpected. Like really, I can't picture Gerard even getting married until he was in his 40's.
I honestly don't think it will last over a year or so, just because the simple fact that MSI along with MCR are both touring bands and they hardly will spend the time a married couple should spend together.

I love Kerrang!, but this question is lame. Polling people on how long they think Gerard Way's marriage will last is simply pathetic. You informed us of the marriage, that's great, thanks for that, it's great to see them so happy. So why not just leave it at that? Gerard and Lyn-Z deserve to have their privacy respected just like the rest of us. My Chemical Romance obviously appreciate all the support Kerrang! has given them, but digging deep into their personal lives is not really a good thing to do in my opinion. If they are truly in love, it will last forever. Like I said, I love Kerrang!, but that is just what I think.

Well, well, well, they certainly are a miss match in my opinion, I wouldn’t have dreamt in a million years that these two would ever get together, they are so different in their music and in their style, what can I say love must be in the air for these two but for how long?I personally don’t think they will last very long unless they both have a hidden passion for something in common other than each other, either way good luck to them.

I think none of us know how long it will last, because we don't personally know either of them, weren't at the wedding, don't know how either of them really feel, and don't know enough about their history together. All these people saying "they're perfect for each other", have no clue, they do not know what either of these people are like personally, so they should stop acting like they do.

I think Gerard and lyn-z make a great couple! I also thing the marrage will last a long time if not forever !I dont know alot about lyn-z but she seems cool and she makes Gerard happy and thats all that matters!

it may have been a little soon but hey thats not for me or anyone apart from them to deside!

the fans dont own gerard and we are not here to gudge him !we should be there supporting him and his desishions!!

At the end of the day Gerard is only human and shouldent be hated for falling in love and having a happy life!!

I think it could last quite a while, quick weddings are for people who when they feel they know that the person they are with is who they want to be with forever obviously Gerard and Lin-Z are old romantics at heart and just knew really and didnt see the point in waiting, i think its brave of them to do it

Everybody here has got to stop criticising Kerrang! for asking the question. Most of you aren't even getting your facts right! The reason they're asking if it will last is that
a) they've been seeing each other for less than 2 months
b) it's been confirmed that it was quite a spur of the moment thing.

Oh yes, and people saying they thought the engagement was off, that engagement was to Eliza Cuts. Yet another reason why people may think this is a bit rash, because he's just got out of this relationship and the word rebound springs to mind.

Sorry about the rant but you guys don't know much about it!
I wish Gerard and Lyn Z every happiness and i really mean it, he deserves someone that will understand him and make him feel happy and sexy :)

I'm sure it will last. They both seem very compatible and it's not like other "celebrity" marriages that are constantly the centre of media attention so that shouldnt put too much strain on their relationship.

I'm not too convinced that it will last because it all seems very rushed.
Add that to the fact that both bands are very busy and it's not the best idea...
Though it is up to Gerard what he does and if it all goes down the loo then he'll have to deal with the consequences.

Maybe yes, or maybe no- as Gerard continues to surprise us. Just because he's "Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance" it doesn't mean that we can't be concerned for his happiness, as this has happened unusually fast. Even if it was my brother, uncle or cousin, I'd feel sorry- as this almost seems like a cry for help. Gerard seems to have become someone entirely different than the man he was before, if this is him maturing or not.

Well, if he's happy, then we don't really have anything to say about it.
But with the drug-rumors (that after a parade of weird interviews and bad performances are starting to seem true) I just hope that he know's what he's doing.

Congratulations Gee and LinZ, im happy for you guys, but the thing is why does this question have to be asked. Why cant we all just leave them alone, they are a normal couple like the rest of us, how would we like it if we got married and someone was askin the world if it would last. Why should anyone give a shit? Gerard and Lyn-z are in love, and have dedicated themselves to eachother. I think it's about time that we all went and left them alone. I mean- how would you like it if you found the love of your life, and people you trusted kept on asking you when you would break up?

I think that Gerard just wants to keep up with his brother and friend. He's on the rebound from Eliza, and he's probably the head-over-heels romantic type. Also, he's older than Mikey who's married and Frank, and he's probably just scared he's going to die alone and so rushing into it. Having said that, I wish him all the best and I would love for him to prove all the haters wrong and live "happily ever after."

Mikey got a quick marrage but had time to settle down and set up a life with her but Gerard doesn't really have that because hes got tours and being the lead man he cant just not turn up!! this will probable make it harder to have a good, close marrage if they both have to tour! but i hope they do have a long happy marrage

I think that because the relationship has been so rushed it may not last very long.
they're both rock stars and the strains of touring will probably put pressure on their relationship, as well as the fact they aren't taking time out of the band to focus on their relationship.

I don't understand why people are being so negative about the news that they tied the knot! I, for one, am happy that they found each other!

hm. Yeah, it's hard for celebs to last long together. Especially when they're rockstars..
tours and gigs, dugs'n'alcohol.. it'll be hard for them to have time for themselves. Also If both of them want to keep rockin on with their bands, I don't think they would get married or even go out for long.. Hm and I think it was quite quick for them to get to know each other 'well'. Am I right or not, do they go out since Project Revolution? It was not so long ago.. Maybe I'm wrong, so be happy Ger ^^.

as much as i love gerard, this isnt going to last, i've never even heard of them going out and have always thought of him to marry eliza cuts. he should take note from his brother mikey and be w/ his gf longer b4 he takes the plunge. mikey and alicia have a long future together whereas gerard and linZ may not.

i still wish gerard a happy marriage, he deserves it!

Well to be honest i dont really care! I mean gerard and the guys are a great band and thats all that matters! But i do think yous should get and interveiw with him and make sure he confirms he is now married so all of these people who think its a hoax can find out if they are right or wrong x !! Emma ... they cant last, its stupid!
gerard isnt the guy to be tied down at all, and they only known each other a few weeks properly or something silly! they hardly had the best wedding either!
of corse i want them to last, everyone deserves a decent marriage, but the sircumstances are against them!
hardly any 'celeb' marriges last tbh, theres just to much pressure on them, from publicity and stuff.
i do hope im wrong but there you go....

Gerard Way Married.

I don;t know what to think about it. I think he just came out for a long term relationship and started dating Linz right? Well all I know is that I saw one pic of them kissing and now I get a myspace bulletin saying he was now already married.


I think it was a little fast, but in a marriage both people had to argee to it, so obv. something was right to make them do it.

Still devasted fans of both parties shall have to live one!!!

Personally, I do think it's a little fast (they've been dating, what? A little over two months?) but if it's what they want, and they're happy (which reportedly, they are - INCREDIBLY so) then that's what matters, right?

I'm not an expert about weddings, but I know that it is a serious thing and that Gerard would not choose anyone to become his wife forever.

However, it seems to all happen so fast, I just learned 1 or 2 weeks before that they were together (and we don't know anything about the Lyn Z) and now, they are already married !

We don't know since when he knows her, but anyway, all I want to say is that I sincerly hope that it will be a happy wedding for both of them, I shouldn't be writing this comment about their wedding cause it's none of our business... well, may be a little bit, cause we all love and care about Gerard :)
