Angels And Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge has revealed plans of a forthcoming new website which he believes will helps bands in the way their music is promoted.
Speaking exclusively to Kerrang!, DeLonge explains the concept behind this new idea, and how this and the band's upcoming album 'I Empire', will launch "one of the world's greatest rock bands and help start a trend to help out rock and roll in way that's never really been done".
"We've been working on building a piece of technology for the past year, that is going to allow bands to do business in a way that they have never been able to do before," enthuses the frontman. "Our website will have elements that no one has ever seen. You'll be able to buy the record, see people in real time and watch movies too. It's totally crazy."
DeLonge says that if the website is successful, it will change the face of rock forever.
"We just believe that music needs help, and we believe that we have a way to help it," says the frontman. "We are trying to set a trend with how bands can communicate their music and make more money than they have ever made in their careers. And if this works, then rock and roll will be doing very well in the next couple of years."
Angels And Airwaves new album 'I Empire' will be available in October.
