Wentz, a monkey and Ashlee Simpson

According to a report in this morning's 'Daily Star' newspaper, as well as bringing along celeb girlfriend Ashlee Simpson, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz is brining a monkey to tomorrow's Kerrang! Awards.

The chimp, who is called Kate, apparently 'directed' the band's 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs' video. According to the paper she will have her own security guard for the star-studded bash.

im not going to start slating the band (im a big fan), but i wudnt suggest taking an animal to the kerrang awards. no offence to pete but he needs to think about the consequences. its not fair on the monkeya s it will more than likely get stressed out from the noise and the amount of people. its also not fair on the guests as if the monkey gets loose, then there can be a lot of trouble. plus there will be hassle from animal rights groups.

He is not going to take the monkey into the actual awards, I'm pretty sure there are laws against that sort of thing. He'll just show up with it for all the cameras and the interviews and then when they're going into the awards, the monkey's trainer or handler will take it away again. The monkey's in the video are from a special shelter and were already trained, so if the monkey is from the video then the shelter are probably letting him. He also took one to the VMA's last year. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I was at the K! awards yesterday, and the monkey seemed fine, wasnt fazed by the cameras, the screaming or the general noise and chaos surrounding the arrival of Fall Out Boy.

The monkey also had a "security guard" with her, so even if Pete did go out and get wasted (I thought he was tee-total now though?), she would still have been looked after.

I dont know how many of you have actually met Ashlee Simpson to justify calling her a twat and whatnot, but at the end of the day, it's really none of our business who anyone goes out with. He looked very happy with her yesterday, surely that is what matters?

You all act like your Pete's mum or something. He dosnt belong to you he wasnt born to do as his fans say. He was born to entertain them. Yeah, Pete and Ashlee are a strange match but how they feel about each other is none of any of u lot's buisness. It's up 2 him who he loves. Imagine falling in love with someone, and people who are supposed to be loyal to you suddenly posting crap about you JUST because of your boyfriend or girlfriend. I don't like FOB, never did, but if one of my fave bands did the same thing I would also be just as disgusted. It's wrong.
