Ozzy hospitalised

Ozzy Osbourne underwent surgery on July 28 after complaining of leg pain at his Ozzfest show in Denver, Colorado.

On arrival at the Rose Medical Center, the singer was treated for a blood clot in his leg. The rocker was discharged the next day, and headed bravely off to his next tour date.

"Ozzy Osbourne had a minor outpatient procedure at Rose Medical Center late last night," says a spokeperson. "He was released early this morning and is doing well."

Grandads in Rock

Will all you people campaigning to get 'the granddads out of rock' please shut up, these 'granddads' still rock harder then bands 20-30 years younger then them and still put on a stage show where they run around, dive off speakers and generally put energy into the performance.

Kerrang and The Metal Scene

Reading some of these posts makes me feel sick to be associated with some of you. Wishing someone dead is pathetic and very immature secondly I remember when Kerrang was one of the best "Metal" rags around. I used to buy it weekly for my metal fix but after picking up a copy 2 weeks back its more like reading NME. The weak coverage on bands and the now "dissing" of such greats like Fear Factory and Sepultura but sucking on the corporate cock of My Chemical Romance is really sad. If you dont like a certain band or musician then dont listen. Id love to see certain people tell Sharon or Ozzy to their faces you would like to see them dead! Problem is i guess the internet has given every spotty 13 yr old a voice to dismiss something they dont feel is cool. Now I have never been a Sabbath or Ozzy fan but ive never felt the need to slate them, its just not my taste. The metal scene is dying enough with the closures of so many good venues and clubs and now the magazines that cover the genre is turning soft. Thank god for Metal Hammer that covers all bands/albums and gigs fairly in a way that gives an honest opinion.
