Marilyn Manson sued

Marilyn Manson is being sued by his former keyboard player, Stephen Gregory Bier Jr. Bier, who claims Manson used the band's earnings to buy personal gifts.

Included in the list of items supposedly bought are Dita Von Teese's $150,000 engagement ring, some Nazi paraphernalia, African masks made of human skin and a skeleton of a young Chinese girl.

The lawsuit claims that Manson spent the group's earnings on, "SS typewriters, swastika wall tiles he had installed in his home library ceiling with custom rugs made to match and Nazi government coat hangers owned by Adolf Hitler."

Manson's people are yet to respond to the claim.

I completely agree with some of the posts above: I do like MCR but for gods sake this story has absolutely nothing to do with them!! Even I'm sick of reading comments about them on every board.

And there is nothing shocking in this story - this is exactly the kind of stuff MM has built a whole career on. Marilyn Manson - Legend!

No matter what anyone says about whether he's a freak or not, he IS a LEGEND!

He WILL go down in history as some form of ICON!

For me he is an inspiration for actually having the guts and daring to do something that others wouldn't even dare to do!

Some of the things Marilyn Manson does may be sick to some, but at the same time outside of MM, Brian Warner actually seems fairly down to earth (having watched and read interviews).

Exactly... its a free country. He can say what he wants about my chemical romance. I love them and everyone of course is going to have a different opinion. mm has just been a bit more upfront about it. not a big deal.

I don't have a really deep grudge against marilyn manson you know i don't want to murder him or anything he is still kinda a legend, he's been through quite alot and i give him credit for that. he can't change who he is i know that. everybody knows that. Don't they? but sometimes certain things like trying to and buying skeletons should be kept quiet unless you want some people to brand you as a complete psycho. he music is sometimes great. i don't really like his new album " eat me drink me" it's all about his divorce and it's kinda depressing. but he does still rock even when he's just being the brian warner he is.... that its im finished i think... for now

Now returning to the real reason for my commenting on this. Marilyn Manson is only human. So okay, some stuff he does is sick and twisted, but it's just him being him.
We should all be ourselves. That's exactly what he is doing!
I'm not a fan of his music at all, but he has worked hard for what he has, no matter how fucked-up things are for him.
Yes, a lot of people are gonna be offended by these things he has done, but we don't know the real reasons as to why he did those things, so we can't slam him for it. Even though I, along with many others, think that those claims are terrible and sick and really hope that they aren't true. Not for his sake. Just because we can't understand why anyone would want those sort of things. Yet again, we don't know the real reasons.

Personally, I hate the guy and I wish the Earth would swallow him whole. Not just for what he said about the things he said about MCR [even though I love them that the least of his problems], the thing that pisses me off is the way he treats women in his videos.

You guys are taking this way too seriously. Like chill. Pogo is claiming Manson bought stuff with the bands money, just as Manson has brought an album out and is ready to tour...hmm bit of a coincidence? why have none of his other ex-bandmates joined in on this claim??

So he might have bought Nazi artefacts, big deal, lots of ppl do it as well as with other periods in History. Concentration Camps weren't created but copied and Stalin was actually worse than Hitler and killed more ppl.

Museums buy skeletons and as for the mask well there must be a market if someone is selling them. Manson did not personally make it.

Let's just see what happens.
I love both Manson and MCR- they are both awesome and create great music in their own way.

the worst thing about emo's is that most of them dont even think there emo haha. mcr are one of the mosdt emo bands on the plannet and altho they hav widened the fan base for rock, it only extends to the emo part of rock they hav done nothin for real music like sone sour and lamb of god. any way i think mansons planning to create his own slave girl, think about it, humn skin mask, girls bones and nazi stuff, sounds like sum weird ritual is about to happen lol.

I am still quite an avid MM fan but i just try to not think of the weird stuff, a lot of people, as many of the above have said, have their own quirks, it just so happens that Manson has a shite load more cash than most so he can take his quirks to extremes.

I know people who collect all sorts of shit and i bet if they had the money the collections would get bigger, weirder and a lot more extravagent. Let's not forget that Jonothan Davies had Ted Bundy's beetle!

Okay first off people should really be more careful as to what they choose to believe within the press. Look at the amount of crap that Manson has had against him in the past and then look how muchof it is true. Secondly so what if he buys this stuff, its up to him. Just because you have something like nazi memoribillia it doesnt make you a racist does it. He is not a racist, look at his music he is no way racist. Its up to him how he decorated his home, its a little strange i'll admite but honestly if we where all the same life woul be damn boring. The skin masks too, right in so many ways this could be very very very wrong, but i dont think it is. Manson has not killed anyone, he has not made them himself, and he has not told people to kill and make them, he has mearly bought them. It is art from another culture. We dont come from that place and therefor its hard for us to understand why anyone would want it, but Manson does so let him do it. He is just appreciating something that other people from diffrent cultures have done. same with the skelton. The thing is, Manson is not the "norm" within our society and therefor he becomes a scapegoat, he has been since his emergance in 1989 but most of the things that have been said against him is just not true, i mean come on, anyone remember the 2 ribs removed stuff... just bollocks.

And its the fact that buying the human skin masks is supporting that business thats the problem. Would you like it if someone came up to you and tore your skin off for a mask in the name of art? I tell you, you wouldn't be best pleased no matter how much you try to deny it.

Also...the problem with him buying those things, apart form what I've already pointed out, is that he didn't buy them with HIS money. It was his band's money, or to be more precise, Stephen Gregory Bier Jr. Bier's money.

But you do have to wonder, surely he would have noticed that he wasn't being paid that amount of money before now...? ($20 million according to wikipedia)
