Slipknot man pens Anthrax songs

In other Slipknot news, frontman Corey Taylor has written a batch of songs with New York thrashers Anthrax, which may appear on their next album.

"It kind of started as a joke," explains Taylor. "Then the more we talked about it, the more serious it got. I'm gonna at least help them out. We're just kind of taking baby steps right now.

"It's one of those things where it's like we're just gonna kind of play it by ear and see what happens," he adds. "I'm in two huge bands right now, so it's like I barely get enough time to sleep, let alone do another band! But to have a band like Anthrax look at me and say 'We would love to work with you' is such a huge compliment. They're one of my favourite bands."

Corey Taylor is currently on tour around the US with Stone Sour.

He should just stay with slipknot and ditch stone soup and anthrax he s way better with SlipKnoT

corey is so talented to be doing two bands. slipknot is my all time favorite. and then you have stonesour wich is totally awsome too. two completly different types of music. so doing a thing with anthrax does not suprise me at all. he is one of the most talented vocalists by far.

man i dont think corey even wants to stay in slipknot anymore and the next slipknot cd will probably be the last with corey on vocals. he seems to like stone sour so much more and he'll probably do some shit with anthrax too. but wen the time comes that corey decides to call it quits the knot better find a damn good replacement if they dont decide to break up because of it.

if you bought the voliminal dvd you would have noticed how they have said that this is 99% chance going to be all of there last cd's with slipknot, they said it is too brutal for their bodies, because they are getting too old for this, if you dont believe me watch the interviews on the voliminal dvd.

i have the dvd and ive watched all the interviews more thanonce and i dont remember anyone saying that theres any percentage that this cd will be their last. in fact i know none of the things you said are direct quotes from the interviews.

I think Corey is better in Stone Sour, but i would also like to see a new SlipKnoT Cd out in '08. SlipKnoT and Stone Sour also, should come to NEW ZEALAND!! so many people here ask and wait to see them, and never come. so come!!!!! =]

corey shud leave stone sour 4 a few years and concentrate on slipknot a far betta band dnt get me rong sone sour r great but it been to long without slipknot da new album shud be out in early '08 coz da sbliminal verses dosen't quite do it anymore cum corey do it
