Machine Head to play Wembley Stadium with Metallica

Bay Area metal veterans Machine Head have stepped up to fill Bullet For My Valentine's place on Metallica's star-studded bill at Wembley Stadium on July 9.

"Holy Crap!!!" commented Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel about the announcement. "A monstrous cherry just got plopped on top of our already huge European festival-run pie, in the shape of the Metallica show at Wembley Stadium. Are you effin' kidding me?!? We couldn't have asked for a better ending to this amazing ride through Europe than to play with our Bay Area brothers at this legendary venue. WOO HOO!!"

The line-up will now feature Metallica, HIM, Machine Head and Mastodon. Bullet For My Valentine were forced to pull-out of the show because vocalist Matt Tuck needed a tonsillectomy.

Machine Fucking Head

With Machine Head now on board it's the perfect line-up, except for the fact that HIM don't deserve to be in it! It's a shame BFMV had to pull out though and I hope Matt gets better soon. They could have got Machine Head at the beginning instead of HIM - that would be one amazing gig!

Awsome

I was there and I have heard of Machine Head before but never heard there stuff. But when they came on and did Imperium I was hoocked and they really hyped up the crowd. It was an amazing atmoshere to be in!
I wished they had a longer set because HIM came on after and had a really hard act to follow. And I hate to say it I was dissaponted with and seeing them get booed was embarresing. :/ Mot muvh of a HIM fan but respect what they wanted to do with there music but it's just nor right for a Metallica gig which is a pitty really.
But Ofcoures Metallica was the most awsome abnd live! It was an amazing gig anf still get think about that gig. When there next on tour seeing them again. Rock On \m/
