Josh Homme: "I miss Nick"

Queens Of The Stone Age mainman Josh Homme has told Kerrang! how the rift between him and former bassist Nick Oliveri is tearing him apart.

"I miss Nick and I miss the fact that I can't hang out with somebody that I really want to," says Homme. "No one ever asked me 'Wow, he was your best friend of all these years. That must have been real difficult?' No one ever asked me that simple question. And no one ever considered that I'm still friends with everybody else so there must have been something there."

When asked if he and Nick Oliveri would ever be able to put their differences behind them, Homme said: "When something happens you sit there and think 'Wait a minute, I didn't do anything!' I realise that I kind of enabled the situation and that's where I'm at fault, but I wouldn't take it back. It's just plain difficult and I really wish that he and some of the people he was around hadn't attacked because it would have allowed me to stay out of it in a way and do what I was doing, which was keeping my mouth shut."

The only reason they keep whining about this is because Qotsa hasn't released such a great record as SFTD anymore, everybody knows Josh Homme is the best and that he with QOTSA should be the one that is capable of making the undisputed record of the 00's like Ok computer or Nevermind were of the 90's.

Josh, good luck.

nick rules and needs to be back in qotsa

queens of the stone age lack the power bass of screeming voxs that he gave. the new ablum is good but lacks the bass, some of the songs on it would off suit his vox's. I wished they put the aguement behind them and make good music

He misses Nick?

I miss Nick too. Whilst Josh Homme is practually a god these days, he needs Nick. The new albums good, but with Nick, it could have been a whole lot better. Here's hoping they start talking again :]
