Gerard Way gets engaged

Millions of teenage girls (and some teenage boys) will be left broken-hearted this evening because My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has revealed he's engaged to be married.

Speaking to MTV this afternoon at the Rock Am Ring festival in Germany, Way was asked if the ring on his left hand was an engagement ring. Drummer Bob Bryer tried to deflect attention away from Way saying:

"That's for me, it's our friendship ring!"

However Way eventually 'fessed up adding: "I'm engaged and I'm really excited about it!"

My Chemical Romancer Gerard Way was married on September 3rd after a Projekt Revolution show. Way married Mindless Self Indulgence bassist Lyn-Z right after the show in Denver, Colorado. MCR was opening for Linkin Park on the tour and it just so happened that a Live Nation promoter was also an ordained minister and married the couple! This must come as no surprise to the Way family, Gerard’s brother and bandmate, Mikey Way, was married after a performance by an ordained minister earlier this year.

ive been a fan of the band for a few years now, and its wonderful to see the members finally settling down into homelife, as well as finding their most comfortable position within the music they create.
also, congratulations to frank on his engagement, as well as mikey on his recent marriage. i fully support his decision to take a break from MCR while setting up home with his wife, he's perfectly right to want to enjoy life as a married man and i wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt return to the band for quite some time.

ive been a fan of the band for a few years now, and its wonderful to see the members finally settling down into homelife, as well as finding their most comfortable position within the music they create.
also, congratulations to frank on his engagement, as well as mikey on his recent marriage. i fully support his decision to take a break from MCR while setting up home with his wife, he's perfectly right to want to enjoy life as a married man and i wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt return to the band for quite some time.

I'm so happy for him! But then I'm very confused O.o. Not so long ago-maybe just before TBP came out-Gerard said that Famous Last Words was written cause he had split with his girlfriend. If she's the same person and they decided to get back together, then, I'm so happy for them both :) He deserves it!
